>>325085

They were loosing zero at extreme temperatures and IIRC some also fogged up, they offered full refunds.

b40903 No.325148

fe4052 No.326061

While we're talking optics, what's a good cheap reddot to put on a budget AR build?

>>326061

well to be honest, any "cheap" red dots will usualyl be crap. especially if you dont have 20/20 vision. define your budget….

but honestly if you want Good, you are going to pay for it as far as red-dots. Aimpoint and Eotech make good red dots, but i would not call them cheap any reflex sight that isnt shit will easily be $350+ at least… if you want something under $200 youre getting some made in china shit that wont hold a zero, if your aim is a good cheap optic try Bushnell/weaver/UTG they make decent 1-4x cqb scopes that will hold up for most situations.

fe4052 No.326451

>>326444

Let's say sub 400.

What's wrong with a Vortex Sparc (All I know about it is that gun jesus used one and Amazon lists it for 200)?

571236 No.327423

>>326061

Not technically a red dot, but I just got the Burris AR-332 for $350. It's 3x magnification with a reticle that can be illuminated red or green. The eye relief is pretty shit though, and it doesn't co-witness with MBUS sights. Aside from those two issues that can be worked around, I'm not mad about my purchase. I have their XTR on my Remington 700 as well and am happy with it.

And right now until April 1st if you buy an AR-552 or 332 you can get one of their red dots for free if you fill out a form and UPC from the box.

t. not a Burris shill

What cheques? Do people still use them?

548e3c No.327508

>>325974

Guys over at Arfcom saying Eotech doesn't know wtf they're doing.

Receiving only one check when they sent in 3 in the same box. Receiving other peoples checks. Being told they never sent in an optic after they received a confirmation email that they did.

It's gonna be a while.

should've just kept my fucking Eotech lol

The highest quality Primary Arms micro dot might work well for you. It's about 180 dollars has a 40/50k hour batter life.

Down sides being I don't think it can take as much beating as an Aimpoint and parallax shift within 33 yards.

I bought their cheapest version just too see if I liked red dots (fucking stupid, of course I would). I have had one die on me from heat, they replaced it no questions asked because it was still in warranty. The one I got as a replacement MIGHT be zero wondering, plan on confirming if that is true sometime soon.

well, it's not Shit… it seems like it might do. i just havent really researched red dots, since my colorblind eyes dont play well with Red-dots personally im going with a Mepro 21, yeah its jew-shit whatever, it looks clear to my eyes and thats what ammters, sootch00 did a review on the sparc 2 seems like he likes it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73eIckaLZQY

As with anything, i highly suggest you visit a gun store and look through the optic before you buy it to make sure you like it.

>look through the optic before you buy it

Ya make sure to do this. I have horrible astigmatism in my eyes, so some brands look like vertical lines or blurs. I really don't know what the difference is that makes that happen though…

I have a hard on for aimpoint micros but they're really fucking expensive.

a582d2 No.328319

>>328307

They're only like $760, I thought you ARfags were all about optics worth more than your rifle?

I wonder how many kommandos operate on the north pole or in the industry incinerator.

I hear they're rock solid. Personally I use a comp m4s. It's what I have experience with and I prefer the AA battery.

I finally got mine this weekend for my xps2 , I'm thinking about going with an aimpoint T-2

Alas/k/a here, Anything north of ANC gets to -19F pretty easy, often as much as -30F and rarely -40F, so I'd guess about 4-10…..
