I don't think those are feasible methods. Even if you know what to look for, good luck looking through every single fucking business in the US looking for signs of illegal immigrants. And I really hope you know how to spot a decent accountant trying to cover the company's tracks.

Even if you did, let's review what you're suggesting:

1) someone now has to go to these businesses, and search them for illegal immigrants, that they then arrest

2) if they miss some, they now have to go find the housing of said immigrants and arrest them there

3) this still takes a fuck ton of more power to dig through financial records, use them as probable cause, and search based on what frankly to me is a non-issue

So, even in your scenario, we're still dealing with cops that will STILL have to go around searching houses and stores, rounding people up, arresting them, moving them en-masse to be assessed, and then en-masse deported. There's no fucking way around that no matter how you do it because that's just how mass arrests work when you target a large group. It's going to fucking happen, regardless of whatever method you dress it up as.

There will still be people who are paid to go to houses with guns and arrest all the people they find that don't speak english well or that don't "look" American. I promise you, that will fucking happen. It's goddamn near inevitable.

These people will likely, by the nature of such a large series of investigations, have to work with federal authorities very closely. And to a certain extent, they will be expected to arrest anyone the feds say is an illegal immigrant.
