OP here on PC, The Canik is good if some people like them even over Glocks. The stock uses some sort of wood/plastic, it's weird, might replace with WASR or Arsenal plum furniture.

OP here, you could say that, they are contractors for the Turkish armed forces and a contractor in general that sells to commercial market.

Think of the TP9SA as a better Walther P99. In my research on Turkish contractors Girsan who is the rival of Canik makes Beretta 92 clones.

A lot of people like to bash Canik saying "Well if you buy Canik or Girsan you're a fucking autistical faggot who supports fuckers in Aloha Snackbar land" which isn't true since they are just contractors and not making weapons directly for the Turkish government under force.

Some faggots will protest though.

OP here again. And yes anon, the Type 53 is simply a Chinese M44 carbine copy with Chinese markings (Typically with Jianshe 26 arsenal and the Chinese letters that i can't make out)

1955 is the most common production date i see on them. When Mao's China fazed out the Type 53 for the SKS and the Type 56 AK they sent a shit load of Type 53's to Vietnam, also they sold a bunch to Albania, so expect a lot of Type 53's to have wear and tear on the stocks.

The Chinese seemed to really like the flip-up spike bayonets. They kept using spikes on their SKS, even when everyone else swapped to blades, and most of their Type 56 AK had SKS-style flip-up spikes too. They didn't fully switch over to a detachable, blade bayonet until the Type 81.

I wonder if it was just some high-ranking officer or government official who thought they were really cool, or if the soldiers considered them useful and wanted all their new rifles to have them.

OP here, it's called spike bayonets can inflict more damage than blade, one does not simply heal up an impale wound from a spike, a blade wound is easier to heal.

Oh, and if someone could translate the Chinese on the receiver that would be great.
