e64ec1 No.332568

Last year and this entire year, they have been supressing all information, HARD. Only outside sources are now possible to gather any info. This got potential if austim don't take over ( too late ? ).

I wonder what is Erik Prince's game. Guy literally revived the field, changed the the way modern warfare is done, and now basically peacekeeping is in the hands of the private market not nation-states anymore.

Like an author-schollar wrote, it took hundrends of years to take the power of waging war out of mercenaries, it took less than 2 decades to give it back.

I wonder when a Atlas Corp. like PMC will surface, G4S has the money, the reach and the means.

Probably never because it's the US gov'ts pet project. How are they going to justify the war on terror without terrorists?

Russia is doing a fine job combating ISIS though.

>>332568

>peacekeeping is in the hands of the private market not nation-states anymore

Yeah, for whatever reason government projects tend to be shit. There's way more more bureaucracy, embezzlement and incompetence compared it to anything run by a business.

>Yeah, for whatever reason government projects tend to be shit. There's way more more bureaucracy, embezzlement and incompetence compared it to anything run by a business.

The Govt. doesn't do shit unless it can be used for political profit or if it can be used to leech money from taxpayers. A business needs to be competitive.

I used to live in such an area as a kid, even the worst favelas aren't THAT dangerous, and they even ran by in a blind panic past a convenience store. What the fuck are they doing.

Yes there are thieves and gangs, but they are known and they usually don't steal in the favela area. Also no one would attack a bunch of guys armed with sticks, let alone guns or wearing body armor.

The worst threat that dude faced was a bunch of kids begging, or a salesman telling him of cheap beer.

Consider a comparison

>bunch of chinese dudes

>full body armor

>surrounding a diplomat

>running through american suburban school zone

>ZOU KAI GWEI LO!

>pointing guns at people

>spot lardbeast on scooter

>APC! APC! WE NEED TO MAKE A DETOUR!

>start running through an american mall

>everyone looking at them like they're crazy

>CONG MANG!

>BAOCHI JULI GWEI LO!

Vice is such shit honestly.

Almost, reason why I brought G4S into the mix, they already rule over private security in the world. I probably know how ( bribes ) but now in South America they literally own the majority of every private security company.

>>332589

Both m8. Modern MGS's ( 4 and foward ) all drink from the same sources, the same books, MGS 4 is basically early/middle 2000's books on PMC's with Kojima stuff all over it. And Modern Warfare is based on probable future of private militaries growing ever larger.

For matter of comparsion, G4S is the second biggest company over all, in the entire world. A mercenary company that is only toppled by Google ( and Google love's some foreign meddling, so I would guess they are both sharing similar interests ).

>>332593

Am I too old for K/ ?

>>332613

I think we passed that point man. Good ol'days of 9/11 changed everything, at that time, Blackwater was trying to create some shit to keep the market going, in fear of less profitable contracts, but today with Leftism rampant on goverment all over the world ? They don't need to do shit, just to wait.

And they also did create conflict effectivily on Africa for few years now.

>>332719

Just google private military china/chinese and be amazed. There is lobbying in China, and it was so fucking strong, that passed laws that now are creating what I call " Alinary Express " ( Alibaba + mercenary ).

Ever since I played DX:HR DC, it's always been a minor fantasy floating in the back of my mind to be a civilian contractor for a PMC working on a black site.

I don't know why, but it just kinda appeals to me.

>Just google private military china/chinese and be amazed

Oh shit, it turns out China has been operating in Eastern Africa and Iraq to combat kidnappings in places they're building tourist towns for over 2 and a half years now.

Looks like Chinese contractors get to choose between M4 and AKM clones from Norinco. Sidearm is a Beretta M9 clone.

069c62 No.333440

So Imma ask the question:

What must one do to start a PMC? Specifically one that the US government would hire?

ebf922 No.333442

>>333440

Just google every PMC, ever. Goes the same way.

Now, to get hired by your government ? Few things.

> Huge number of Tier 1 operators on your list

> contacts with congressman and military

> 100% sucess rate on private ops for any important client

> CLEARANCE

Download the book about Blackwater, it shed a lot of lights on how, why, so on, or google about it, it all goes the same way. Some guy who served on SOF's for a long ass time and after 20 years still broke as fuck.

Another big ass company bought a PMC, but I don't recall either names.
