The british outlawed good ideas sometime in the eighties, as evidenced by their rapid decline from a 6/10 nation to -4/10 gravel patch. japan managed to take an uzil gal design and ruin it by deciding billet aluminum is a great idea for a stamped expedient machine pistol, and of course, you don't need to even design a buttstock or provisions to mount a buttstock on it. the japanese male is strong and hardy, look at how powerful their decreased loads of 7.62 NATO are! they're almost as strong as an american child!

Germany engineering is the most overrated, over-engineered shit in the world and their guns were no different and is way overcosted.

The Borchardt is an ugly son of a bitch gun, the P08 grip angle feels unnatural, the Mauser C96 is retarded in how much a piece of shit a pistol could actually be and the stg44 is for people who worship a dead failed faggot of an artist. It took an engineer who wanted to make agricultural engineer, of a country that could not feed it's own citizens for several decades, to make the long stroke gas piston of the stg44 to work well. This is coming from a country that decided it's not a good idea to actually try to make it's own future children intelligent, because it's easier to just import geniuses.

Mauser copied the idea of making the C96 FA and having detachable mags. Most of those guns ended up in China and Spain during the civil wars, some of them ended up in South America.

The only real downside to it is that it's heavy and that it shoots so fast. The non disintegrating links are based on opinion. I like disintegrating links because I don't have to carry around the 25 empty links I just shot, but some people prefer carrying around the links instead of risking a disintegrating link breaking apart and forcing you to reload.

The M60 is decent too, the only real downside too it is that it's a massive bitch to disassemble compared to the MG3, that you can fully assemble it incorrectly without knowing it and that the 3 bolt grooves will alter the trigger pull depending on which groove caught the sear.

To add to that pretty A9-91 chart, here are the civilian version that never got to be commercialized. There were full lead 9x39 cartridges for it. No idea how the speed would have scaled up with such a long barrel, specially considering how short the original one is.

Fair enough, except that the tactics and situation of the day did not call for a light MG - there is very little to be gained from equipment designed for mobility when you're in a largely static war - Maxim hueg HMGs were perfect for that scenario, you just had to set them up and know that they probably wouldn't be moved for at least a few months.

>Belgium and Austrian aren't the same thing

Owens was a great gun dont get me wrong but we still needed a AR for 'Nam because Clapistan wanted us in 'Nam as they held our arm behind our back and twisted it. MetalStorm on the other hand looks like a gay ass box that shoots bullets that bracket a small area, its like a really big claymore but without all the benefits of a claymore.

I'm really just hoping the new Steyrs are decent because they seem to have added more rails that make the gun look uglys and hopped up the rails to eye high but also put in that weird ass pull cord/tab/beer opener for an M203. That and

If ARs were simply better, they would probably have gone with the Colt.

I agree to an extent. Having Australia share some of their improved AUGs (F88?) would have been overall cheaper and more logistically sensible.
