The only games I bought that were made this year were DBZ Xenoverse, Mordheim, and Rocket League. They're vastly different games, and I enjoyed them all.

Undertale was a great game that unfortunately got noticed by a bunch of autistic weirdos from /v/ and Tumblrinas because the game had a couple of goats and the creator made music for Homestuck. Though I wish there were more danmaku-like boss battles, and I wanted to see what the City of Monsters looked like up close.

I'm never going to let a fanbase, or public perception of a game, have any effect on how I view said game. In fact, it doesn't really cross my mind to think of "the tumblr fandom" unless I'm looking for hilarious diversity-headcanons and otherkin.

Seeing the city would have been pretty awesome. I could totally imagine Frisk putting on a monster disguise and going on a tour of the streets.

Late, since it's 2016, but I played alot of older games last year that were really enjoyable.

Among my favorites were Final Fantasy 7, Super Mario Sunshine, Grand Theft Auto V (Grand Theft Auto V is one of the few newer releases I played last year.)

I started Metroid Prime, but while it's enjoyable so far (very atmospheric) I'm still in the Chozo Ruins exploring, so I'm nowhere near complete with that game.
