A while ago.

Lost track as to how many times had it been broken, but I never keep track anyway.

And each time it gets broken, I will mend it again, and there's a good chance that it'll be broken again.

And I will mend it again, with a stronger adhesive.

Maybe someday, someone will be /kind/ enough to take it and cradle it with care, even though it's an ugly heart covered in countless cracks and dents.

I can state that the first time I had my heart broken was in highschool when the target of my affection ignored my requests to associate with me and chose a thug asshole with 3 illegitimate kids to start courting.

Perhaps so, but what does that say about the person who was rejected? The mentality of "I'd rather be with someone who will treat me like garbage rather than you" is not the best ego booster. Beggars cant be choosers, and sometimes as a beggar, the only options you have are losing ones.
