You brought up fascinating thing I've been thinking about. I'm not into movies either. I didn't care for movies, just the sense of watching them with /kind/ which was very pleasing in itself. It was the same with Twitch Watches Pokemon stream. I couldn't give the slightest fuck about the actual Pokemon movies, but the act of watching it together and sense of some event taking place was a lot of fun.

I also remember I used to play LoL and DotA a lot because I enjoyed watching tournaments so much. At some point I just uninstalled and just watched the matches because I realized I don't give a fuck about games themselves. I just want to collectively experience excitement of waiting for some happening.

The same thing applies everywhere! Code Geass threads on /a/ were more fun than the anime itself, and any anime in general

I didn't go either, I had school and I'm an Eastern European, so timezone issues.

I just flat out didn't try to join in despite saying I'd be there. Debateable whether it was a dick move of me to vote considering it was something I expected to happen. I don't much feel guilty but I apologize as well regardless. I guess what I should apologize the most for is not caring about anything anymore despite that not being so much a fault of mine consciously.

We have a Skype group?

It was fun! We managed to have 19 guests at our peak, and 10 at the end of the night. Some even stayed for all 4 movies, or left but came back later. I was very happy with the turn out, but I knew there were others who wished they could be there. The thought is appreciated, and I'm sorry you couldn't make it.

This is how I was with the original /kind/ streams. Even if I didn't always care for the movies that were chosen, I never missed a night. Sometimes there might only be 4 of us, but it was still very pleasant.

The thread was around for an entire month before the stream.

One time someone posted their picture in a thread here and I asked if it was really them or if they were just screwing around and parading someone's stuff for the hell of it. I'm sorry Friend, your picture was just fine.
