I noticed in the manhwa recommendation thread that some or possibly most people here haven't read what, as an anon in that thread put it, is "essential Koreaboo reading". If you are into manga, or never read any Eastern comics period, and you want to start reading manhwa, there are few series that are as good of a place to start. So I figured, instead of making a thread where everyone is expected to have read all 201 episodes (and counting) before contributing to the discussion, why not start a reading (or rereading for some of us) thread series? It will hopefully help liven things up here too.
So, what is Tower of God? Let me use Wikipedia as a guide, because the official English description on webtoons.com makes little sense and is in broken English.
>Tower of God is a manhwa style webcomic, or webtoon, written and drawn by Lee Jong-hui (Hangul: 이종휘), also known by the pen-name SIU (Slave. In. Utero). It was created in 2010 as the first story in the Talse Uzer universe. It is edited and released for free by Naver, a popular South Korean search portal. It has been phenomenal in its success, and is translated into Japanese and English by Naver, and additionally to many other languages by way of fan translations.
>The story centers around a boy called Twenty-Fifth Baam, who has spent his life trapped beneath a mysterious tower. Chasing after his only friend, he manages to open a door into the Tower, and must now face challenges at each floor of this mysterious tower as he tries to find his companion.I decided to start with blocks of 10 episodes because I feel it really isn't that much to read when it comes to manhwa, if it were lower there wouldn't be a whole lot to discuss in the thread, and most importantly I want the barrier of entry to the initial discussion to be low. If people actually participate, I will make a new thread every (?) days for the next block of chapters, depending on the feedback given.
Original Korean:

http://www.webtoons.com/viewer?titleNo=95&episodeNo=1This is very important: Don't talk about anything beyond chapter 10, because you will spoil it for people who are just picking up the series.P.S. Special thanks to /a/'s hostile community for inspiring me to create this thread with their anti-everything Korean attitude, and essentially telling me to GTFO and come here to /korea/, despite discussions of manhwa being allowed by the volunteers.
