Who's going to fund us? This seriously needs to be discussed before we talk about anything else. I'd be surprised if we even managed to rake up $2,500. How are we going to get the money to do this.

Kick starter?
But really. Investors are our only hope, and if in the next 5 years we actually get our shit together and appear to be the real deal, it only gets more promising for investors.

Wait for it… Wait for it… Mercenaries.
No really. We turn /k/ into a private army (operating within international law as a security firm) and use the profits to buy more and more gear until we can eventually form a stable state.
Granted, we start small. Act as armed guards for rich assholes in pisspoor countries with our borderline-militia grade weaponry. The more contracts we take, the more weaponry we can buy until we have an entire marine invasion force of operators with full Hind transports and MiG-21 CAS.

Clever budgeting can have this project wrapped up for less than 7.5 million total, and likely even less than that.
The upfront costs is less than 3 million to get established.
Things like prefab houses, surplus equipment wholesalers, corrupt governments, and the overinflated military industrial complex would allow us to flourish.
As long as the PMC aspect of this project pans out the concept of a tax-haven providing private army will sound VERY enticing for companies.

What if we start a township in Florida for tourism/RD haven/PMC haven/Trading Center. Residents produce tax (nothing too ridiculous), and start a community/trade school that quickly tries to go full starfleet academy (in terms of standards). With revenue from numerous sources of income, only those who have become trusted are privy to the fundraising the town is supposed to get us for outer haven. If we move fast enough, we will have a base of operations for other plans/projects in less than 20 years, but longer than 5. Having an asset like this would establish our real world presence, and building our true intentions in the shadows of sightseeing/academia/business.

I feel like the best route is the PMC/CPP route.
Close Personal Protection is a great jumping off point for getting into the PMC trade; and it seems like it's a market of the future. Do work for the right asshole and maybe he'll give us a few square meters in North Africa he controls.
No.395
Even starting a PMC could take in the tens of thousands to start. We need to build capital. I propose groups of us start businesses in fields that are relevant to our final goal. When the businesses are running smoothly and we have shekels, we can all collaborate and decide how they are to be spent.

>>1353It's an old naval fort, in the dry tortugas. It was made when hexagonal and star forts were the best design(mid-late 1800's). It's incomplete and not an option because those islands don't have fresh water(hence the name 'dry').

>>1353a hexagon let's you concentrate more fire on a given side than a sphere, and lets you fire in more directions than a square.
star forts were designed to withstand cannonball and resist undermining operations.
any attacker was forced into areas where they would be subjected to sustained fire from two sides.
the walls were very thick and angled to deflect cannonballs.
finally, to offset the disadvantages of lower walls a trench was added so any attacker was still getting fired on from equivalent height as higher walls.
>>1376another defense was a low wall to absorb cannon balls for the main fort; as the bottom of the walls were typically the target of cannon fire for obvious reasons.

Well, back during the first few threads on cuckchan we decided that some of us (Theu, Dispenser, Corgi, Dropout, and I) would go into weapon manufacturing to make a sizable amount of money. TerraNull said he was going to do the mercenary/PMC thing, and was still doing that last I heard. We're working on it, but anything you guys can do will definitely help.
