We're here because 8ch offers a better site for our kind of discussion. We have a whole board for ourselves with our own rules and moderation, 8mb webms with sound and a bunch of other neat features that make this better.
I'm one of a few people who have been trying to encourage more people to come to this board so that we can have a nice imageboard base for Korean stuff that is outside the jurisdiction of normalfag mods on 4chan who may decide to really crack down on /kpg/ one day. To me, this is about not putting your eggs in one basket.
But no, /kpg/ is still alive and well on 4/mu/ and it would take a lot of effort from the mods to ban it.

pretty much yea but with the main point that they are like stickied, they never die and always get remade, related threads get nuked. so they don't get lost in a sea of people making shit threads and are a clear focus for visitors to come check out
and obviously having it all in one thread is quite good. the people that might want to talk about kdrama X or see what it's like don't need a thread about that drama but rather a place where other people that enjoy drama are so you can share new finds, review episodes or dramas, ask for recommendations etc
another with this is that i think if you say this place is quite small and not active. then you need to tailor the amount of pages and threads available.
for one having threads up that are 11 months old just shows nobody is here so why would a new poster stay? but it also weeds out shit and removes clutter. you can always expand on this later as it becomes more desirable but atm i think its a mistake to use all that is available. same goes for bump limits
so for example: sticky a couple main theme threads as a general, reduce the overall pages and threads. delete duplicates to force that content into the related general
and the media idea is good. rather than having drama, movies, variety separate that is too much. just put it all in one for now. should be a lot of cross over between those anyway and can split it later on

I like the idea of merging movies/drama/variety into one single thread for neatness sake. However, there is no thread merge feature, so we'd just have to start a new one and delete all the old (or i can set them to autosage and they will naturally die). In that case it may be wise to copy some of the info over if whoever wants to make it deems fit (it'd probably get reposted anyways eventually).
