Postal 1 was actually so fucking legit.
All the art between the levels, the postal dude's ramblings between the levels, the music (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cio4Bx_9A8k)

It made me stick with the game even though the controls were frustrating.
THE EARTH IS HUNGRY
IT'S HEART THROBS AND DEMANDS CLEANSING
THE EARTH IS ALSO THIRSTY

(that last line isn't all that great though)

Flan-chan, Flan-chan! If you ever see this, please let me know the name of the artist who did the artwork for the cutscenes in Postal 1. Do they have a site or something?

Is Postal worth getting, or should I wait for the redux?

Redux. Wait for the redux.

Magic 8-ball says: let me get back to you on that.

Well, the main thing holding back Postal 1 is its clunky controls (Wolfenstein3D-style strafing, if you know what I mean), but once you get the hang of them (and optionally turn down the difficulty by a point or two) it's not that bad. I've started warming up to it lately, at least. And there's all the crazy disturbing sounds and imagery all over the place. It usually goes for pretty cheap during sales, so I'd say if you're interested in checking out a cheap isometric shooter with crazy disturbing elements and themes, then you can pick it up now, and then also checking out Redux when it's out. I say this, because it's gonna be a while till Redux even begins development, so waiting for it would take you quite a while. But if you're in no hurry and want an optimal gameplay experience, then sure - wait for Redux.

Alright, seems it was the work of Randy Briley - the game's art director!

If I buy the original, will I still be able to buy the redux?

 No.2231

What's the gun that the postal dude uses in Postal 1? An M16? an MP7?

 No.2237

>>2229
I don't see why not. There's not gonna be any system in place to prohibit you from buying both.
