You aren't really working on it anymore, are you?

It's coming!

Long story short, the guy that traditionally handled it for us thought he'd find time to do it for us this year, but he's in such high demand it never came to be (blame humble) so we've now taken it in house!

We've make some early progress and hope to be able to release it when we release PL early next year. Mac / Linux make up 10% of our sales so we of course want it sorted for both the base game and PL.

Sorry for the wait!

How do you calculate that? I've played it on Windows because it has AWP, so I probably don't count as a GNU/Linux customer in your metrics, or do I? Even though I only bought it because of the GNU/Linux version, the old pirated one worked fine on Windows

>yfw you bought the old LGP version but bought it again in Steam

Do you know if there's a way to get any mods working at all in the current Linux version, even if Workshop support's not in?

(Mostly looking at the Xmas mod someone just uploaded to the workshop).

>Valve invented user generated content
>for an Unreal Engine 2 title - keeping in mind that not one Unreal Engine 2 title has been notable for its extensive support of user generation of content (because that would be impossible; Valve invented user generated content with the Workshop)
>for which much of the new content in the Steam release was taken over from user generated content

jesus fucking christ, anon-kun.

I hope to see Postal on SteamOS.

I can then piss on people while rubbing gaben's nipple controller.

From what I understand, all Linux games are playable on SteamOS (including Postal 1&2). All they really need is proper controller support, and you're good to go!

Yeah, devs should be careful, statistics almost never tell the whole story.

I play the game on both my Windows and GNU/Linux machines. GNU/Linux support was also a heavy factor that made me want to buy the game because I know I will be able to play it when GNU/Linux becomes more viable than it is and Windows becomes a weird niche OS that no one needs to use.

Bueno.

Can't wait.

So what's the good news on the Linux build?

 No.3171

Just got back to my home PC after a couple of weeks fucking around in britbongistan and lo and fucking behold, it's working.

Just bought Paradise Lost, finally, thanks.

Of course, PL isn't out yet for Linux. Ah well, I trust you guys, I'll not refund it, as I assume it's on it's way.
