No.2140
>>2128
Haven't actually got around to watching it yet. I've been aware of it for years and some anon posted the OP in /a/'s webm thread ages ago which is where I actually heard it. Downloaded both seasons recently as well but there's a few other shows I'm trying to get through first. Did you enjoy it overall?
No.2154
>>2140
I saw it get a low rating man, but really for me is was a gut wrenching feeling when it was over. I'm fairly tough and I felt as if I was going to cry for the first time in years.
I mean, I was following the manga back when it was still relesing, and I hated some people (nospoiler) and felt so dissapointed at times. But it was fantastic in my opinion.
Just a warning, I only ever did watch a bit of the first season of the anime, so that weighs in on my opinion. I actually went out and found the paper manga and bought it in the end.
I was a little younger too, and it has been a while so my memory of it all may be slightly warped, but I would recommend the manga to anyone.
In fact I may put up a link to the whole manga in a zip if anyone is interested.
No.2164
>>1997
so comfy.
>>2154
I'll give the manga a look. I'll probably be fine without a link as it's easy enough to come by (and I don't want to bother you too much at any rate), but thanks for the opinion.

I want to die with this playing in my head
makes me sad to remember /jp/ is 90% generals these days though.
No.2184
>>2174
It is pretty sad. I still enjoy visiting the old splinter chans (mostly /tc/ and 8/jp/ since that popped up, both of which are pretty fugging slow) and checking up on /ghost/ every now and then but neither of those are the same.
8/jp/ has been fun since the new BO took over as he's pretty hands off, but as it's really just 2D/random it's certainly not old /jp/. Just need to let the past go I suppose.
No.2200

I guess I am, although I've had it for a while now.
I'm still up for recommendations!
No.2201
I did that last one on my own initiative, I got it bloody close to the filesize limit, and I had to encode it a buttload of times, which was fun and a tiny bit challenging because I'm very impatient.
Here's one I was requested to do on /kind/, which is a really cool short video.

Breddy gud. Try using VP9 and opus if you want to push the length, the compression is a fair bit better so you shouldn't have as many issues (although with it being 8 minutes long it will be difficult to deal with either way).

Image: Ski slopes near Akureyri, Iceland
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SkiAkureyri.jpg
Audio: 1860 - Socialite
I picked up 1860's album when I visited Iceland about a year ago. I thought that the song and, indeed, the country of Iceland, was very pertinent to the topic of the board.
Iceland is just below the Arctic Circle, so if you go the furthest north you can, you can get a day where the sun doesn't rise at all. When I was there (in the South), it got dark at around five. In December it must be much earlier.
If you can handle the darkness, Iceland is the ultimate /late/ country.
