It helps me to be sure I have everything done already before going to bed so that I don't have to get up or look at lights. I also sleep twice a day (as soon as I get home and ~4 hours before work) which helped me keep my schedule under control somehow. It sucks because starting up my computer is almost a blinding experience everyday due to it, but I think ~15 minutes of discomfort is better than 16 hours of it. Of course, I found a way to kinda remedy that too by getting a very dim lamp to use as I eat (or doing some other necessary and pleasurable activity) before using the computer or driving. In the mornings, I always try to get up as quick as possible (done by waking up ~5-10 minutes later than I should or doing something useless until that time) and getting to do some things that are an extremely light exercise, if it can even be called that, such as speedwalking/running or cleaning myself damned quickly without cutting any corners. It gives enough adrenaline to last me for a few hours until I get the natural 5 hr.energy that seems to let me finish the day just fine. It's a strict schedule and hard to get used to, but, now that I have in a few months time, I only get your issues ~5 percent of the time and even then can still carry on my next day pretty fine until the last hour of being awake before sleeping.
