What is your favorite time of night, specifically, /late/?

Mine is 5 am. Some of my fondest memories are of being a teenager, around 16, and walking home with my friends at 5 am after a night of wandering around town, when the light is just bright enough to be called daylight, but everything is still quiet. I'm so nostalgic for those days that during the summer I will sometimes set my alarm for 5 am just to walk around.

Wow. I totally get what you mean. The quiet world is so beautiful.

For me it is 1 - 4 AM by 1 AM almost everyone is asleep and the world is lonely. I can move around on abandoned streets. I just listen to the amazing silence. Sometimes I listen to some music.

my favorite is around 3 - 4:30, or whenever i can get into that burnt-out sorta state. running on fumes, with a calm, blank-ish kind of feel. it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it's when my head is clearest, when i can really just chill and be cool with whatever i may be doing at the time (now for instance). it's when i can be really real with myself and whoever i'm talking to. not quite the way i wanted to put it, but i guess you lot get the idea

I don't have a specific time of night that I like, I like any time of night where I can be alone and just relax.

I'm a pretty big fan of 0100-0230. It seems to me that my city is the quietest then, and I'll take the convertable out for a drive. There might be too much light pollution in the city, but streetlights can be like stars in the urban sky. This is during the week, of course, not on weekends when everyone's downtown going to bars and what not.

I'm also a big fan of that burnt out feeling, when everything seems to go on around you without any of your involvement, and you just move through the world. I get this feeling right around six when I get off shift, my drive home might be a little dangerous but it's sure as hell enjoyable.

I could do with more stars in my life. The night sky is so much more majestic, humbling even, away from cities. A good night makes me wish I had a telescope.

Roughly the same as everyone else: Night alone isn't enough, the best moment is when everything is really quiet. At that moment when you almost feel like the only person in the whole world, like everything belongs to you.
