So I assume anyone who's been on recently has seen the announcement at the top. Apparently the BO hasn't logged in for two fucking weeks, leaving it open for 'board claims'.

At the moment, I don't really have the time to admin a board, even one as slow as /late/. However, I am quite dedicated to the board, and will jump in headfirst if nobody else does by the deadline. I'm not sure what happens to boards when the deadline is reached, but I won't let it happen to /late/. That said, if any night owls with enough time/patience on their hands can and want to take over the admin duties (and don't drop off the map for weeks), I and the few other people who come here anymore would be all kinds of grateful.

Hoping we can save this shit. It may be slow, it may keep us up, but it's still worth it. Help, anons.

I've sent an email to request the board. /late/ is easily one of my favorite boards (in spite of how slow it is) so I really want to see it stick round and not get fucked with again. I've owned another small board which is about the same size of /late/ for ~5 months now and I'm pretty sure I can make it work out time wise (i.e. not abandon /late/ after a couple months :^)).

Hopefully the old BO does turn up again though, considering how slow it is he might just have not logged in for a couple weeks as there's probably very little for him to do in terms of moderation.

I would, but I am not sure if I will be able to show up consistently after ~two months due to work and other obligations.

Also, if you check the board statistics you will find the board as a consistent post rate - even if it is fairly low.

Don't forget to mention it if you need help, Anon. Likewise, if you feel like dropping the board, it is probably best to announce it and ask somebody else to take over. Those global volunteer posts are just an invite for the icky-brown-pill poster to come by and mark the board.

I am still around, just as >>2805 says, there is literally no moderation to do. You guys are an awesome bunch, really you are. I'm not going anywhere. Even if 8ch goes down I'll try to move this board to another website.

My apologies if I gave anyone a scare.

It is only boards around this size that prosper like this. Hopefully we don't get too big. We are in the golden age for this board imo, and I hope our golden age lasts a long time.

huh, i would've thought there would at least be a little maintenance to do. anyway, thanks for clearing up the little scare.

i think we may be in a small dip between golden ages, but that seems to be a fairly consistent pattern with this board. another peak is coming up, i'm seeing some new, interesting threads just scrolling down a bit to read this one.

once again, thanks for taking care of the notice problem. i hope to see things pick back up a bit. it's high time for some cool new threads.
