>>36>>37It depends where you go, too. Central and Eastern Alaska can get fairly warm in summer. That's the only season I've been there, though. The state's as big as the rest of the country, so there's a lot of undisturbed land, if you're into that. I liked riding the ferries in Southeast; never got to any of the places you have to fly into. I'd recommend going, but be prepared for hordes of mosquitos depending on where.
One of the comfiest places I've been is Ice Lake, in the San Juans.
