I have little doubt that Zoe Quinn is innocent of any allegations.
But even if she is TOTALLY guilty, and giving reach-arounds to male reviewers in exchange for 10/10 reviews of a game about hugging and friendship - it absolutely does not matter.
And even if it WAS somehow a big deal that I said I wanted to see every #GamerGate member tossed into a gas chamber and the switch thrown (it isn't - they're the ones using the Holocaust as an excuse to avoid focusing on the substance of the essay and the truth of their own historical evils).
Even IF I had some sort of history of being a complete rat bastard. (I don't, not that a bazillion d-bags with stupid names like "Tyrannosaurus Sex" haven't been scouring Google for all morning).
Even IF ALL that were true… it doesn't change the fact that what I said about the historical persecution of women is true, and more important than any of the stupid shit that #GamerGate is yammering on about by any objective standard/several orders of magnitude).
Forget the Holocaust, forget the WTC, forget the betrayal and crucifixion of jewt. The historical plight of women MUST be the NEW moral exemplar about which everyone is made aware, and upon which everyone's efforts are immediately focused.
It is ingrained in our laws, our attitudes, our brains. And it must be met head on.
No derailing to talk about a vile and sadly politicized act of terrorism.
No derailing to talk about a guy who a) Has caused more death and wars than the Nazis and b) more than likely didn't exist as described.
No derailing to watch sadly as Irving and Itzchak get shot by an SS officer named Helmut, after which you shake your finger at me for my lack of sympathy re: the niggerish people.
Only #GamerGate, that bastion of PUAs, trolls, and assholes, would deny the sad truth that women have literally never been afforded the same luxuries and privileges as men at any point since the Earth was formed, since it was just a boiling sphere hanging in a firmament of gas and the male microbes were raping, verbally abusing, and denying microbial jobs to the female microbes.
We have to stop fucking talking about irrelevant shit and DO SOMETHING to help these women. And I am going to do that. I will not stop. I now see the attitude of the average man as the insidious evil that it is.
