They would be sold over the counter, like all other drugs.

Is it possible to have a state-controlled institution that handles out controlled substances for recreational use?

This way it would minimize the overdosing, poisoning and it would also cripple the entire illegal drugtrade.

Yeah. For example in Sweden the only retail stores you can buy alcohol over 3.5% in strength are owned by the state and the sales heavily regulated to prevent alcoholism, don't see how the same can't be done but for drugs. I don't think heavy drugs such as opioids should be avaliable to anyone but people with medically documented chronic pain though

There is absolutely no reason to restrict drug use in society. Addiction is caused by shitty social conditions. Abolish those and addiction will die with it.

>Addiction is caused by shitty social conditions

I agree, though opiates really do have material properties that cause addiction. Your brain likes them because they touch the right receptors. You would have to address both the drug in question and the social conditions that people use it under.

>Addiction is caused by shitty social conditions. Abolish those and addiction will die with it.

This might be true for some drugs. But not for opiodes. They really shouldn’t be in production at all with the exception of very sever pain. If you want to get high just use Kratom.

I'm not denying the addictive qualities of many drugs. But restricting their use is pointless paternalism like alcohol prohibition. The proletarian state is responsible for liberating the proletariat, not being its nanny.

>How would drugs (especially opioids) and painkillers be handled under socialism?

Read Bordiga and "SIEGE".

>There is absolutely no reason to restrict drug use in society

There is no reason to outlaw drugs completely. But most substances to be used reasonably by those that desire to treat themselves with the prescription is reasonable. Even recreational drugs should be prescribed for those that are stable and desire to use it in their privacy.

>The proletarian state is responsible for liberating the proletariat, not being its nanny

I have no idea what this means.

americans were dumb to shut down silkroad. That website was basically Amazon 2.0 in its fancy and oldfag attorneys in usa just couldn't handle it. Usa could have been the center of the world for drugtrade for the next 100 years, but they would rather have their morality outshine economic growth.

This is why you should never listen to anyone older than 50.

>americans were dumb to shut down silkroad.

It was probably one of the few good things the American government ever did. Herowin and Oxycotin adiction are huge problems for most people in Burgerland. Besides all the economic benefits would go straight to drug Porkies.

It would lessen the competition of chemical drug labs leading to poor quality crack cocaine.

 No.6322

Everything would be over-the-counter, because healthcare would be free and people could just talk to a doctor about what would be a good recommendation. The biggest reasons opioids are a problem in the US is because they're overprescribed (leading to dependency) and insurance will often abruptly cut people off, meaning in order to manage pain they have to find other sources (and without the help of a doctor so they have to figure out dosages etc. by themselves or worse with the help of dealers who want to get them hooked).

 No.6743

LARPing aside, under not-a-real-Socialism drugs and prostitutes are sold to 13-year-old Piglets who are allowed to vacation unaccompanied in overpriced not-a-real-Socialist tourist traps. Locals who venture too closely are arrested for panhandling.
