Oh my god proletariat are making money off of garbage why didn't I think of that?!!?!?!

 No.610001

So basically they're getting pissed that people are stealing cans out of the garbage to recycle them for a nickle each? lol.

BTW, it is completely legal to go through trash that's out in the street.

 No.610006

>>610001

Not anymore it isn't. From now on, cops can stop you in the street for dumpster diving. Take that, you stupid homeless parasites! Go get a real job!

>In many instances, by the time sanitation workers get to a trash pile, all that is left is actual garbage, hampering the ability of companies with city recycling contracts to earn their fees.

"Privatization of government functions will be tailored to our independent policy decisions" they said. "Privatization brings about greater efficiency" they said. "No more big government to trample on people's hard work" they said.

Dumpsters I know is a grey area but can they actually stop you from taking stuff like an old tv or garbage bags that people have put out on the sidewalk?

 No.610022

==Shit== Houston Texas made feeding homeless people a crime.

Wait what? isn´t the government that recycles it in the end anyway?

Could some burger explain this?

The moment refuse hits the curb it becomes the city’s property — and the city’s problem. From there, materials like metals, cardboard and plastic are supposed to enter into the vast web of the recycling process, a network of carters and sorters, compactors and remelters. The theft of such items has long been an issue, taking a toll on the city’s curbside recycling, or diversion, rate.

>the city's property

>theft

>Of garbage

Christ on a bike. This is pants-on-head retarded. Its worse than Randian how the article expects me to give two wet sloppy shits about the city's records and their contract workers when they have criminalized human beings scrounging for trash in order to get basic food needs met. I had some hopes for de Blasio but it seems his dog-and-pony-hammer-and-sickle show was just a for shock and awe value.

They're pissed people are going through garbage and picking out cans because in New York you're able to get a nickle for every can you turn in. I don't know who you give them to because we don't have this in PA. I think Germany has something like this too? Where you can get a certain amount of money for cans and glass bottles.

 No.610038

>>610027

If you take in recycling to a recycling plant, they'll give you like 5-15 cents or something per item (can, box, bottle, that kind of stuff). When you put recycling stuff out in your front yard or wherever for the recycling guys to take off, you get nothing. Lots of poor and homeless people do this to try to scrounge up enough to survive. Porkies don't like proles getting a cut of the money they think they should get. So they make it criminal to do so.

America truly is a capitalist dystopia.

This really grinds my gears. So stupid. Does it mean that it's illegal for me to give my neighbor some lasagna or shit that I cooked? Or does it only apply to the homeless because fuck the homeless. They probably don't even get decent food most of the time. The soup kitchen that I worked at in DC had mold on the bagels and cockroaches were in the place. Same with the food pantry I volunteered at.

Well, a lot of places in DC had cockroaches, but I digress. Fuck Houston for doing that.

Honestly, if they arn't going to benefit us in the revolution we should just shot them instead of wasting resources that could be used by the vanguard on worthless and useless parasites.

I know you're kidding, but I'll say this anyhow. Lumpenprole will probably fall in line quicker than anyone else when the proper time comes. They probably don't know any of the theory or the history, bu I'd wager they feel class hatred as pure and hot as anyone can. They have nothing to loose if the system comes undone, when it comes undone. They see the true face of capitalism everyday.

Who says they aren't? There's definitely revolutionary potential among the homeless.

And what about people who are homeless because of disabilities and are unable to hold a job? Are you gonna shoot them as well?

In San Francisco, it was just poor asian lady immigrants doing this. Not even the homeless people would resort to this and in fact even reject food here. I tried to give one a sandwich outside of my work once and they asked me if there was mayo in it, then said "no thanks, i don't like mayo."

>“Nobody wants to be perceived of as picking on the little guy, but the lone scavenger is now an organized, sophisticated mob of scavenger collectives that systematically removes valuable recyclables,”

So these "savage well organized scavengers" are helping the recycling effort, but because its costing porky a few cents, it it made illegal?

Shit man, porky is really stepping up his game.
