>Where will you be when the singularity happens?

Standing beside my ai waifu in virtual space, plotting out the rest of eternity

Don't you mean your eventual collapse in to entropy?

>>611238

You faggots who try to apply the Laws of Thermodynamics to everything are the worst.

Probably this tbh, not because of external reasons but just because I don't think real transhuman tech will exist within the next 50 years. Most likely there will be some gene therapy and robotics, but true gene manipulation and cybernetics are way far off, this doesn't even include the political ludditism that will undoubtedly occur that will slow it down. Human cloning and genetic hybridization has already been made illegal for no fucking reason(republicans) so I can see a lot of hurdles ahead.

>caring about an event that won't be relevant for literally hundreds of trillions of years

 No.611253

Just pointing out that Eternity in this universe isn't strictly possible. As for what comes after? Eh, who knows?

>>611248

You ever consider living as something that doesn't have a lifespan? Time won't move the same way for you. The end will be there before you know it.

Also:

>Literally hundreds of trillions of years

>Hundreds of trillions of years

>Current age of the universe is 13.82 Billion

 No.611257

>>611253

Actually ignore that last bit, you were actually correct in your use of the term literal.

My original point still stands.

 No.611277

>>611253

We'll still be dead long after we're bored of living.
