Liberal has become synonymous with crybaby SJW's.

In a political debate about for example, immigration. The usual sentiment I encounter on practically all articles is "Durr cum here takin our jawbs" or "Durr dey just get da welfare"

I point out this bullshit, they can't take your jobs and clog up the welfare system, I attempt to explain that maybe these people simpyl want a better life, in most western nations welfare is living in poverty, why would someone move from poverty, to live in poverty in another nation.
It makes no sense, yet I'm the one that's vilified for not having a popularist opinion shared by every right wing slack jawed hack who lives around me.

Popularist policy is the mainstay in Europe now, nationalism at an all time high across the continent, governments across Europe now just spout crap about how bad foreigners are, how welfare sponges are destroying the system and "X COUNTRY IS THE BEST".

Where the fuck can I move to escape all this nonsense?
Is there any nation on this planet that has a logical debate based on facts before enacting policy?

In the US at least, leftists have co-opted the term 'liberal'. After they've spent the last six years running this country into the ground, it's only natural that people will either be sick of them or try to distance themselves from them.

"poor" people in Switzerland live better lives than most middle class people in France, for exemple.
They also live better lives that than 99% of africans.

When they say that, they're talking about different immigrants. It's the eastern-europeans who take the jobs. The blacks and browns clog up the wellfare system.

This is happening in Sweden as we speak. They have a housing market crisis (way too few houses), poles and other easter-europeans are taking a massive chunk of the working class jobs. The brown and black immigrants are are clogging up the wellfare system, some of them drive taxis but that's about it.
