Without profits, businesses don't know what is in demand, or how demand is adjusting. Without profits, the laborer lives hand-to-mouth because their job is never prepared for a sudden disaster, a loss in demand or productivity, or whatever other misfortune comes their way. Without profits, there is no reason for a laborer to work at a job at all, so their job will simply not exist.

This "profits = theft" meme is silly; it's the same logic that leads a farmer to eat their harvest in a big feast all at once but starve over the winter months. Profits provide for the future and give an indicator of what's to come - that doesn't seem like theft to me at all.

Humans needs to eat, drink, seek mates, interact socially, and do thousands of other things that constrain us every day. We are limited by time itself, our physical form, and its needs and wants, in addition to our higher or intellectually stimulating yearnings. We've found ways of dealing with our imperfect situation, sorry they don't make life Perfect According to MarxTM.
