http://legalinsurrection.com/2015/09/german-authorities-crack-down-on-free-speech-refuse-debate-on-mass-migration/

>Not satisfied with shutting down the debate on the political stage, German authorities are now taking on the dissent to its migration policy on internet and social media platforms. German government is pulling out all stops to ensure Facebook complies with its idea of acceptable speech.

>In recent weeks, German authorities have shown zero-tolerance towards individuals posting critical or hateful comments on the social media and internet. Police have confiscated computers and courts have imposed heavy fines to the tune of thousands of Euros.

Germany is one of the most Orwellian states in the EU.

zuckerberg is in on it

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/sep/30/angela-merkel-caught-on-hot-mic-confronting-mark-z/

>German Chancellor Angela Merkel was overheard on a hot mic confronting Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg over anti-immigrant posts, amid complaints from her government that the social network isn’t doing enough to curtail racist comments.

>The two were overheard exchanging words on a live transmission broadcast on the United Nations website, as participants took their seats at a U.N. development summit in New York on Saturday, Bloomberg reported.

>After Ms. Merkel asked Mr. Zuckerberg about offensive posts on the refugee crisis, the Facebook CEO said “we need to do some work” on the issue.

>“Are you working on this?” Ms. Merkel asked in English, Bloomberg reported.

>“Yeah,” Mr. Zuckerberg reportedly responded, before the transmission was disrupted.

>A surge of Syrian refugees seeking asylum in Germany has spurred a spate of attacks on refugee centers and anti-immigrant sentiment, Bloomberg reported. Earlier this month, Facebook vowed to clean up racist content on its German website by partnering with a German Internet watchdog, called Voluntary Self-Monitoring of Multimedia Service Providers, to monitor suspected hate postings.

>“We are committed to working closely with the German government on this important issue,” Facebook spokeswoman Debbie Frost told Bloomberg. “We think the best solutions to dealing with people who make racist and xenophobic comments can be found when service providers, government and civil society all work together to address this common challenge.”

>mfw Merkel is Person of the Year for consistently ignoring the laws of her own country and EU laws just to get what she wants

>mfw she gets to show her virtue for taking in thousands of "refugees" while making millions of other people pay for it

>mfw she wants to censor speech that disagrees with or criticizes her

>mfw this is all good and just in the eyes of the world

Just fuck my free world up, fam.

>burn down a synagogue in GERMANY

>o-oh they're Muslim so it's not a hate crime, it's a protest against Israel

If this is true I'm shocked. Also, where's the stuff you quoted in that article?

>>13971

Fuck that guy. His slimy ass foundation donation really pissed me off, how he tried to pass it off as an act of charity giving money to himself. Of course he's all for censorship, given his social experimentation with Facebook.

 No.13996

I ain't entirely against the idea of accepting refugees (the legitimate ones anyways) but christ almighty this shit is being handled so horribly it's best we don't accept any at all.

>>13974

How would you handle this shit BO? Not sure what to make of this refugee crisis shit, but only because I'm not too informed on this. I do know at least a lot of the so-called refugees are not actually from Syria.

 No.14001

>>13996

Not BO, but that's simple.

Allow individuals to bring in refugees themselves/pay for their transportation, etc.

If you have a government, then have the government vet people accepting refugees for mental illness, terrorist intentions, etc. Male sure that individual will be able to feed and clothe them and integrate them properly. Make it clear that said individual will be held responsible as well to an equal extent if the refugee does ANYTHING to break the law. Track any large sumps of money those individuals recieved recently, and respond accordingly to all of this information. If it's an organization, plant an agent in their church or mosque or synagogue for a month or two to make sure they aren't preaching extremism.

This program would be far cheaper and easier than any current solution being applied.

Sounds fair, and with funz and nowelfare the leeches and violent ones would be offput.

The problem being countries are not libertyland, so this is a hypothetical scenario. I want to be sympathetic, but I can't just ignore the realities surrounding this situation. I suppose if we had a really strong filtration system and actually accepted them at a not-insane rate that'd be ideal, but I doubt it's the case.
