No, that's a terrible idea. Supporting most of your government off a single industrial sector is a good way to shrivel up other sectors, and lead to terrible terrible things when the price of your chosen commodity falls or you run out of it. Venezuela and the Saudis are learning this now. Russia will learn this soon.
