Imagine you live in a socialist country. Try and refute this.

 No.18498

In reality, almost everything in that pic is thanks to the sheer power of the voluntary interaction aka le ebil crapitalism. Also.

>implying that centralized powerlines and Mass transport systems aren't fragile and inefficient and must be phased off by decentralized alternatives ASAP.

>almost everything in that pic is thanks to the sheer power of the voluntary interaction aka le ebil crapitalism

are you calling socialism capitalism?

What does socialism even mean? I thought it meant the abolition of private ownership of the means of production, but apparently it can mean absolutely everything a government can possibly do ever.

 No.18517

>>18505

Dipshit redditors who think socialism=free shit from the government.

That said there would still be nothing wrong with voluntary co ownership of workplaces from a libertarian perspective.

 No.18520

>Everything is socialism

Ahahahahaha… Oh wait you're serious.

Faggot, socialism is government (oh sorry, "public") ownership of the means of production. You can either claim the far larger bad parts attached to socialism, or you can fuck off with this bullshit, because mo entrepreneurial individual will work in a society that punishes hard work. It's like trying to work for a woman.

 No.18529

I dont see how everyone so far has misunderstood what OP was saying

>imagine you live in USSR

>never experienced capitalism first hand and neither have the people around you

>get shown picture

>try and refute it in such a way that others around you would understand

Its difficult to do but you could start from basic principles and show how the free market could first provide basic goods and services like food and water, then more complex ones, then eventually computers/trains/etc. Once you have done this then you can show how it would be just as efficient if not more than socialism since there is greater incentive to be economically productive.
