There are people RIGHT NOW who are genuinely afraid of China's economic development. Imagine how many more ghost cities like this one there are. At the very least, exploring China's vast territory feels like an expedition to a foreign galaxy.

Watch the whole thing. Real estate developers are working with the Government. This would have collapsed with a whimper from the very start without the massive, silent State bailouts. Nobody has to limit anything. They can fail all on their own.

I just think its hilarious that you are complaining about China growing too quickly when the USA cant build anything at all.

 No.87774

You do realize that if you produce more than is demanded you're going to end up with quite a few businesses closing down and your economy crashing, right? Because businesses can't operate if they don't have customers? This is just the foundational theory of ABCT, nothing too serious or anything. Certainly not something you should know about before making sweeping claims about the Chinese economy.

>USA cant build anything at all

>ohno,itsretarded.png

We can build things just fine, in fact we have quite a few higher-end boutique manufacturing businesses producing domestically–quality over quantity and all that. What we can't do is build things cheaply, due to a variety of different factors increasing domestic cost, some artificial, some natural. Because of these factors it makes sense allow the chinks to specialize in cheap mass-production because the bug people are good at that kind of thing, while the US economy focuses on things besides mass production, things at which we are competitive, i.e. exploiting comparative advantage.

Can you formulate a proper rebuttal to ABCT, yes or no? Can you explain what comparative advantage is and why you think it don't real, yes or no? Or are you just going to say "LOL economics is kikery" without actually refuting anything? Next you'll be telling me that the 3rd Reich's OC DONUT STEEL currency totally wasn't fiat, even though it was backed by a central bank, its supply wasn't limited in any way, and it couldn't be redeemed for a real commodity.

 No.87786

Perhaps you should read a bit more into what's happening in China.

<ABCT says your economy will collapse if businesses that expand 2 fast fail

No, but ABCT does say that businesses that only expand because of governmental assistance and state credit expansion will simultaneously fail in a cluster of errors, as it becomes apparent that there was no increase in wealth to match their expansion of production facilities. And that is precisely what is happening in China right now–construction firms are putting up new skyscrapers with reckless abandon, fueled partly through subsidy and partly through extensive currency devaluation, which has created a massive Keynesian boom. This must inevitably crash as the Chinese market normalizes and it becomes apparent that there is no market to support these expansions.

I'm serious. Did ANYONE here commenting watch the whole thing or watch AT ALL? These empty cities are a result of people being convinced owning land and housing is a figurative money tree that can only keep giving. It was not and still is not going well, and is propped up, edging ever closer to collapse, by State intervention. It's massive malinvestment. Money that is NOT flowing back. Expanding fast has nothing to do with it. Nobody here gives a fuck about the velocity of exchange. That's Chicagofags, not Austrians. What matters is whether there is demand for the amount of production going on. And it's extremely low quality production at that; with even buildings that were inhabited, collapsing, killing and wounding thousands. The damned things can't even last 5 years.

>i'm still waiting

There's no sign at all of it changing. The time period to the inevitable is irrelevant. Whether you're waiting or not doesn't change the ultimate outcome. A slow poison is still poison. The reasonable decision is to stop taking poison, instead of repeating "I'm not dead yet."

> that so called American capitalism

America already had a housing bust recently in 2008. Give them some time to make the same huge mistake again. Real estate is not America's greatest example of capitalism in action given how regulated it is. There's another housing bust coming up again if you think 2008 wasn't enough to show anything.

I realize that China and India are giants with clay feet. What I find concerning isn't China economically conquering the world like retards thought Japan was going to do in the 1980s but rather what the Chinese state will do when their house of cards falls apart. War?
