I live in an area where there's a strong conservative republican presence, and the democrats and minorities are influenced by individualism, but there's not a strong libertarian presence. Haven't had much luck getting people to change their viewpoint in the first place yet.

I talk about it with friends/family, and they always admit that what I'm saying is most likely correct and that they don't have a response to it, if not simply outright agreeing with me, but they haven't really put the pieces together and had their "AHA" moment yet. People are too busy dealing with busywork, emotions, and piddly things to care about basic issues.

Left or right, I always try to find the common ground first. Even with the ultra left, sometimes they do pick up on real issues. They usually respond well if I keep it focused on that and show them I'm not their enemy. After all, it's not like they know what they're doing. They're just confused as hell.

It sounds plausible until you wonder why, if this is true, the evil capitalists don't use their money to ensure that Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party etc. win more elections and that actual libertarian policies are more popular. Instead, these same entities fund the statist Republicans and Democrats, who continue pushing for statist policies.

free market doesnt mean we leave everyone behind. I dont even know one public libertarian thats against helping promising people

people are always thinking in extremes, black or white.
