I think it's time for a general recommendation thread.

Here's how this will work, you post the last three books you liked for general recommendations. If you want recommendations for a topic just ask for that.

Before you post check the thread and make at least one recommendation.

 No.7427

>the holocaust industry

>don camillo and his flock

>poems by trilussa

these are the last ones i liked.

i'd recommend all of them.

sadly unless you are italian, you'd hardly get something out of the latter…

 No.7437

>Old Man's War

>The Mammoth Book of Apocalyptic SF

>The Holocaust Industry

 No.7438

As I'm a bit choosy I've liked everything I've read for the past year, at least. I'd recommend them all.

Instead, I'm going to reinterpret OP's instructions as "Of the books you've read recently, name the three you liked most and would recommend."

1. Cakes and Ale by Somerset Maugham.

2. I, the Divine by Rabih Alameddine.

3. The Shattered Sky by Paul Lucas.

If anything, what I most like in my reading is variety.

Requested recommendation topic:

Intelligent aliens written well.

Definitely Blindsight and Echopraxia by Peter Watts.

 No.7443

>>7438

>Intelligent aliens written well.

if space mutants count: heinlein's orphans of the sky.

 No.7444

Why didn't you start, OP?

>The Surprising Adventures of Baron Munchausen

I've already asked more something like it in the other thread >>7003

>The Complete Works of Artemus Ward

Why Twain is more famous today than Charles F. Browne I couldn't guess. His romances are the best part, but Ward's adventures were mostly good as well.

>The Opposing Shore

 No.7455

>>7437

i think you are the guy that posted the holocaust industry in the "last book thread". if that's the case i somewhat owe you.

it had been on my shelves for months and your post sparked my interest again…

 No.7675

The War God's Own by David Weber

The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov

J-Pod by Douglas Coupland
