generally ads pay per click. The ratio of views to click is about 1/25 on youtube, which means that 1 out 25 people are susceptible to advertising, so if you do the page views divided by the amount of clicks

now say that they pay .10 a click

so thats 8,000,000 * $.10 = $800,000

thats probably about how much cracked makes a month minus hosting and all that.

This explains the quality of some of their articles. You'll have to make articles on a weekly basis to make a living from this. That's enough time to do some good research, I guess, but no one puts in this much effort for a 200 dollar week. Easier to do yet another opinion piece or an article on "5 Games that are actually Nationalsocialistic Propaganda (when you're drunk)"

Okay imagine that one company did that, it would totally work because theres only a little bit of people with a lot of money. Then all those people could spend their money and shit and it would be no big deal because everything is super cheap right? Like bare essentials of life are all below $10.

Okay but now imagine that every company did that. So now theres all these people running around with a ton of money, but its only some people because some huge corporations employ a ton of people. So all the poor megacorp people get fucked because they make butt, but all the small time "millions of dollars corporation" people get shit tons of money.
