Same here, my only knowledge of him being halfchan meme spam.

Not a knock against him but he's competing with an array of other authors and older works for my attention.

If I ever get through my pile of Frederick Prokosch's biography, novels, and poetry I might give Tao a look. Being a more recent writer more in tune with the Internet generation is not enough to motivate me; I don't really do contemporary.

I liked it too, it was enjoyable but it isn't a book I would suggest to anyone, it's not like the mood he is trying to describe is so interesting to justify the sloppy form. Taipei was much better for me.

Was something new from him published in the last years?
