>'Theory Redux' makes the most powerful and original interventions in contemporary philosophy and social theory accessible to all. Presenting the ideas of the world's most exciting radical thinkers in a series of stylish and portable volumes, they are essential reading for anyone interested in the cutting edge of intellectual life.

The marketing and publishing is almost identical to YA.

What is the Theory of the Young-girl? Sounds like the autobiography of Josef Fritzl.

It is basically metaphorically and sometimes literally theorizing on late capitalism and commodity culture, and the Young-Girl as the metaphysical apex of it. "All the old figures of patriarchal authority, from statesmen to bosses and cops, have become Young-Girlified, every last one of them, even the Pope."

It sees the "social" as youth and feminine, as a metaphor of the emphasis on everything being faux-friendly, cutesy, money-centered and etc. But the language is pretty unclear, in the fashion of the situationist French cuckoldry of course.

Honestly if this wasn't communist shit it could've easily passed as incel theory with some modifications.

I've heard good things about this, what's wrong with it?

Actually this is the classic one. The eerie thing about these books is that they have a "cool" feeling to them. Almost like the feeling/aura that punk zines, books like SIEGE or underground RAC/Oi! bands have. I guess the extremes will have to meet somewhere aesthetically.

Mark "dude depression is all due to capitalism lmaow" Fisher had some cool ideas but this book doesn't really present them.

Read Flatline Constructs instead.

This dude got heavily butthurt over me saying Manuel DeLanda has written great secondary literature on Deleuze. And his main objection was that DeLanda did not write in a specifically political goal-oriented muh minorities way, and called him an "entrepreneurial Daniel Dennett". I swear these media studies niggs will make everyone hate the themes associated with Deleuze.

>the face of "I'm totally agaisnt liberal Deleuze studies, look at me, a true militant" theoretician

can feel the soy oozing through my screen

I thought bourgeoisie is dead since 50s, so what's the neo-bourgeoisie?

marxist ideology cannot function without a boogeyman
