What do you think about homosexuals adopting children? Should it be legal?

I'm on the fence. On one hand we have a child being raised in a biologically abnormal (thus arguably unhealthy) family. On the other hand there's a lot of little kids that would be very appreciative for any sense of family.

I'd be especially hesitant to adopt a male child. I'd rather subject myself to the inevitable heartache that comes with raising a daughter than have a ruined boy on my conscience.

I feel uncomfortable with it.

In the 60s, I would have been a liberal because these upstanding people there on the left (pic), whose parenthood surely could not be worse then an upbringing in an orphanie, appeared as responsible, mature people. Surely, a few bad apples, but that may be fixed by intense monitoring for the first year or other means that are usually used to identifie abusive parents in general, regardless of their kind.

Today, the justice system seems to be weak and the grandest part of the gay "community" absolutely rotten with a few good people inbetween. There are homolobbys, which would most likely protest all kinds of judgements against irresponsible gays keeping kids in weird ways, with droves of sjws to make pressure.

Before the parading gets replaced by a sense for common decency and political groups/journalist-circles/etc based on sexuality get disintegrated it seems as if there would be more harm done then good, even though there are surely homosexuals out there who would make good parents.

I agree with this. I don't think homosexuals are inherently unable to raise kids but what has become the "standard homosexual" like what your image shows on the right should never be able to have kids. Gay or straight these kind've liberal crazies would be disastrous to a child. The kind of people who would try to make their kids trannys at age 5, those wackos. It's amazing how gays were the most hated in the time when they were mostly respectable people and now that being gay is pretty much praised by the media they're degenerate flamers.

I don't know if gay parents would be better thab single parents, or orphanages, but with many gay men being attracted to teenagers, and in general poor role models it seems like a bad idea.

These are the lives of children we are talking about. You shouldn't just make guesses on if gay parenting is harmful or not.

Agreed. It's a risky gamble with the life of a child at stake. Better safe than sorry in this case.

I wish there was more research done on this. Like actual research not politically biased "Oy vey all gays are superior parents you homophobes" or "see, the homosexuals are all super rapists who should be gassed"

I know I could do a hell of a good job raising a kid, probably better than the majority of straight couples in my country, but I don't support gay adoption. Maybe if the popular culture of homosexuality wasn't so degenerate, and if one of the pathways to becoming a gay wasn't childhood homosexual molestation, then I'd change my views.

 No.132

Absolutely not. Child-rearing is the job of the family unit, where the mother specialises. Nature comes before feelings.

 No.228

I'm good with children. I worked at a daycare in college as a toddler teacher. It was satisfying in ways many jobs are not as I was genuinely able to make a difference in the kids' lives. But not my cup of tea though. I don't have the calm required to hand a child back to his/her abusive parent and maintain a professional bearing.

I learned that there are a lot of sad stories at daycares. The boss would have me interact with the infants daily, because I was the only male employee. Many of the babies came from single mothers and had little to no interaction with men. The very sound of a male voice was enough to startle some of them into crying.

Pretty tragic, though but a reflection of the current state our society is in. Nice to you you were doing those kids some good, Anon.

Wow, stories like this make me a bit more sympathetic to gay adoption. It's not like growing up in an orphanage sets you up for success. I mean, like I said, I think there are many gay couples who could do a hell of a good job raising a kid compared to the vast majority of straight parent(s).

It's the entire family structure in society which is broken. And it all began with female suffrage and the woman leaving the home to work. Chaos only spirals from such a thing.

The issue really is that it is definitely possible, but not right now. The mainstream gay community is too degenerate and theres already a lack of good homemaking women. The normal family structure as a whole is on the brink as it is. We'd need things to return to normalcy in the heterosexual world and squash the LGBTABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ's general view of homosexual acceptance being the acceptance of being a degenerate manslut.

YouTube embed. Click thumbnail to play.

A few years back the BBC ran a show called 'The World's Strictest Parents', taking two shitbag kids from the UK and shipping them off around the world to spend a week living under the roof of another family, with said strict parents. One such family was headed by a gay couple in New Jersey who had been together for 19 years, were each personally successful. They fostered and adopted kids to get them out of the state system.

I feel that if the mainstream gay community were more like this after the international push for SSM and civil unions over the past few years; rather than a bunch of ungrateful shrieking fags with flags; this argument wouldn't be anywhere near as fierce as it is.

If you've got an hour to kill, embed related (if it even works)

That is how I imagined a homosexual household would run - highly efficient.

I couldn't help but notice a couple of the children making effeminate gestures (limp wrists). It was made clear that the kids had troubled histories before being fostered. But I wonder how much of it was "natural" and how much was learned from the gay parents that make their kids sit to piss.

 No.352

I don't see a problem with gays adopting, but I'm gay myself.

I think a lot of the fears around it have to do with the various horror stories you can easily find, but it's sorta misleading since most adoptions are absolute shit. It's rare for anyone to adopt a child and treat the child as their own, it's often just done by those that want to treat their home like an orphanage or because they want to abuse the kids. It's actually quite a large problem that many kids that are adopted are given up after a while since the 'parents' get bored, and may just be sold off to or traded with other 'parents'.

As well, you have all the lesbians that are desperate to engage in nesting that try to get in relationships with anyone they can, and when they adopt they're normally too emotionally needy to be able to be an emotional provider for another human being. So they're likely to be over represented in any study on all same sex parents which will lead to over inflated numbers of abuse and neglect.

 No.354

Long as you're giving them a good home and not diddling and kiddlies, I don't mind. People get up in arms about muh child welfare when it comes to abortion but tend to not give a shit about them once they're born. Give them a good home and a chance at a future, too.
