Saw this on /pol/, apparently the (UK) National Union of Students' LGBT campaign passed a motion calling for the abolition of representatives for gay men, because they don't face oppression anymore.

"Cis gay men" are guilty of "racism, biphobia, transphobia, and misogyny." So despite evidence suggesting gay men are more likely to face violence because of their sexual orientation, and are disproportionately affected by HIV, the passed resolution calls for the cessation of the gay male rep in university LGBT groups.

Pretty funny, I think this LGBT movement is beginning to eat itself alive. Next, they're going to suggest gays are islamophobic for not liking muslims, y'know, despite muslim countries executing gays and killing them even when abroad.

This may or may not be based on labour's diminishing gay vote

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/mar/23/tories-level-labour-gay-vote

They're probably under the assumption that they can consolidate the voter block as a reliable labour pool by excising gay males.

>Pink News chief executive Benjamin Cohen said: “The polling shows that the LGBT community is as divided as the rest of the country when it comes this year’s general election. However, there is one striking difference, the almost negligible level of support for Ukip and consequently the increased popularity for the Greens and SNP."

My guess is that pinknews is an extension of the labour party.

Do you mean to suggest that more women would vote Labour because of this? Sorry, not a britbong, seems a bit incomprehensible to drop what would seem like a semi-valuable voter bloc. Are gay men not thought highly of there, not progressive enough for Labour? Sorry, just a bit hard to wrap my head around this being a political move coming from the left.

I think that it's more of an issue of trust. Gays aren't trusted by the establishment to vote consistently anymore, so they're being phased out of the Oppressed Snowflake Club.

There may be a considerable pushback concerning "gay privilege" by LGBT communities, this may or may not be a test case for such a move on a larger scale.

I think that meme'ing "gays are out" might also play into the predictability of the outcome of this test. I'm not going to take any information-spreading action, personally.

>gays wont be associated with degenerate nut cases anymore

Oh the horror

Gays will still be lumped into the acronym by the average populace. We're still forced to be affiliated with it, but we won't have a say in the actions they take. Not like there was ever much of a say anyways.

That's pretty much it, we're guilty by association on both fronts.

What else is new?
