The #8chan-/loli/ irc channel is very much not /loli/ but is much more /younglove/. I don't think it is of interest to the vast majority of people who come to /loli/ who are interested in a /loli/ irc channel.
There's no point trying to change #8chan-/loli/ into being something it isn't. And telling those guys to "move to another channel so we can take ours back" is highly unreasonable with a 0 chance of success.
If anyone wants to try kickstarting a new channel that sticks to the subject matter of this board I don't think anyone could blame them too much.
