so, my trips to the second hand bookstore & christmas have left me with a ton of different books on art

anyone got any advice on which to start with first?

This is a tough choice because all of those books with maybe the exception of "Drawing Shortcuts" are similarly themed beginners' material. I would start with the one that has the most reviews and is the highest regarded by reviewers, to that end "Drawing for the Absolute Beginner" is probably your best bet. That "Drawing: You Can Do It!" book looks pretty cute though, I don't know-it's on you.

Makes no sense to beat around the bush.

It's not like it requires any other prior knowledge.

Yeah but I think one of these books may provide something of a warm up (it'd be a shame for op to have bought them for nothing, too). A lot of the Bargue stuff is pretty intimidating, but it is a great course.

Having skimmed through them I'd say do them in any order you wish but starting with Drawing Shortcuts is dangerous for obvious reasons.
