I will be compiling a large cache of images in sequence featuring professional wrestlers to help artists and animators with extreme male anatomy. So far I'm going to focus on the Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan but I'm open to suggestions for some others.
No.438
This is going to be harder than I thought. There's a lot of motion blur obstructing a lot of the forms, at least in the video I'm watching now. I'm going to know so much about personal lives of professional wrestlers by the time I'm done with this.

I think rather than relying on torrented files I will use actual footage from DVDs (I work in a video store and I have a shit load of them lying around). I just posted these to give an idea of what I was talking about. The compilation will be much like the human and animal photographs of Eadweard Muybridge and I'm sure will provide a great resource for artists and animators upon completion.

quality is getting a little better, but I had to sacrifice fps to get it to be consistent. I think I'll try again
No.466
This is a great idea op, seems like a lot of work though; also some of the images are going to be a little blurry but they might be adequate enough for gesture drawings at any rate
No.467
I may blow ass at drawing but I haven't had as much fun doing so in recent memory. Something about giant adult men famous for pretending to fight amuses the hell out of me.

Sorry guys I'm still trying to figure out the best way of going about it. I thought it was using VLC player to mass cap entire videos but that shit just doesn't work consistently enough and finding relevant portions of video is a huge chore after the fact.

I can feel the mega-powers building in me. It's a shame you probably won't get too many full body shots but this project will be great for targeted learning I feel, if you organize it properly anyway

I would suggest taking a look at some Prince Devitt/Finn Balor and PAC/Adrian Neville matches. They're not the biggest guys but they're extremely cut and you can see their muscles really well when they do their moves.
Others I suggest are John Cena, Cesaro, and Brock Lesnar.
No.522
>>521one more suggestion, Johnny Mundo/John Morrison is one to look at too.
No.523
>>521Thanks man I'll keep them in mind, they look like pretty much the ideal subjects even if they may not be as well known. I should ask /wooo/ for help here too. The toughest part about this whole thing is that because of how inefficient VLC's screencap utility is I'm basically going to have to watch more wrestling than I ever have in my life unless I can find an alternative. I know GOM player has a similar functionality so maybe I'll try that out.
Would you happen to have a source for relevant torrents or files on megaupload/mediafire you'd be willing to contribute? On all the p2p sites I use only the most recent wrestling events have any kind of seeding going on unfortunately. I'd like to believe there's some kind of underground pro wrestling archive out there, somewhere!

I think I found the perfect program finally, as it doesn't necessitate viewing the video to capture the files which is both easier on the software and myself. The only problem is there's no way to know what the image quality is going to be and no relevant settings to even hint as such. I'm awaiting the results.

This is going pretty well thus far, it takes quite a while but it shouldn't be too bad as long as I can get a hang of juggling two computers.
No.538
It sucks but I think I'm going to stick to blu ray discs and rips; DVDs just aren't quite cutting it as far as image quality's concerned in the end. Luckily I have a pretty extensive selection of action movies on blu ray ready to go but it takes a lot longer to rip each disc, too.
I guess I'll start with Conan the Barbarian, Conan the Destroyer and Commando. Fug.

No.551
This is a pain in the ass.

Almost done taking any image sequence worth having from "Commando".
No.554
With the notable exception of Conan the Barbarian a lot of these movies will leave a lot of anatomy to the imagination. I wonder if it's even worth it in the end.
No.564
I found a couple blu rays at work about 'the Rock' and Steve Austin that may prove somewhat useful. The problem with these kinds of films is that there's probably not going to be nearly as much wrestling as there will be personal crap.
No.602
In each file I'm going to include a low res animated .gif so animators can get a sense of the frames and timing of the action.
No.603
>>602I wish I knew how to lower the file size. This is one of the shorter actions and it seems crazy that it's almost 3 megabytes on its own.
