Is this sort of body realistic? I mean, despite how overly-sized the proportions look, I just wanna know if wide hips, thick thighs, and a thigh gap can happen on a woman in real life. I'm a weird sort of guy that would want to know if this is realistic enough that I can use in my personal studies.

The closest I can think of is a hottentot but their asses project outwards not flare out, lol. They aren't realistic proportions, but if you study realistic anatomy you will be able to make characters with any kind of proportions you want.

It's not realistic, but you could try copying it for fun if you'd like. Keep an eye out for a variety of artists though. You might find one that incorporates your favorite traits better.
