what are your hopes and wants for the new zelda u game coming out,
what do you think the title should be, what are some cool items you think should be added?

I'd really like it to be extremely open world and Skyrim-like. I know that would kinda rek the old format of Zelda, but Nintendo hasn't changed perspective in the games since Zelda II, but I think a first person POV would be nice. I'd also like the item system to be very versatile, with ability to choose clothing and different weapons, etc. A class system might be changing the gameplay too much, so I'm not asking for that. Cool new items? Possibly new swords, other weapons + armor, maybe spice it up a bit and do something different from the norm. I'd also like the Storyline to be more deeper than the other games, maybe add in some nice story elements for the older players. The title? No idea, man.

>>21 They're going back to the basic formula of Zelda and are building on that. Its going to be different, but it's still Zelda at its core. While Zelda and the Elder Scrolls share a lot in common, they're still very different. The new Zelda is going to give the player some more freedom like the Elder Scrolls, but it shouldn't become an Elder Scrolls game.

I would love to have some optional dungeons. The world is definitely big enough to accommodate it. I would also like to have NPCs on their own schedules like in Majora's Mask. It might not be as complex, but since they're having day/night cycles they could try to do something similar.

this

i liked collecting all the masks in MM, even the ones with really long (read: annoying :D) sidequests.
New Zelda should be full of sidequests so there is always something to do!

I was thinking the same thing with the schedules and it would be cool if the side quests gave you collectables like the golden skulltulas from OoT
Also would be cool if the had extra end game quests for those who finish the game quite fast, though i don't really see that happening due to the vastness of the map.

I personally would love to see far more items being implemented including more types of swords bows shields etc.

I agree. I never said I wanted it to be exactly like the Elder Scrolls, I just said that I would like it to have more freedom.
>>26
That would be very impressive, and I would like to see that as well. Then the world would just seem more real and natural. The game would have a nice feel to it.

Same here
I liked being able to swim/roll like that

Would anyone mind a recipe mechanic like Tingle's RRL?

Semblance of progression of total capabilities, but also the stakes.

It would give people useful things to look for - they did say you could pick apples and eat them. I would hope they don't go overboard with it and get it bogged down with shit to find.

Do we get a cute dog in a Link outfit? Because then yes.

Better to do something right than to do it quick. Too many rushed games have already led to disappointment.
