Yeah, it went GPL pretty soon after release then some ass hat re-released the game with all the original assets (not share alike), I think it was just some chinese guy. Anyway the lead developer was fucking pissed and basically had a massive rant about he was left soured by the experience. Tragically it's now unclear if the sequel will be GPL'd. Which is a shame because the sequel looks amazing.

Hah, I know. The chinese guy got his shit shut down because he was legally in the wrong. But it was on the Apple store and it took ages to take down because he was citing the GPL'd code and the Apple techs are the best combination of stupid and lazy.

I don't follow this game, so I had no clue it was GPL'd. I guess it makes sense to do so though, considering how it was being developed in an incremental fashion.
