More of a sandbox than a FPS.

>>33that would be more like octaforce
https://octaforge.org/It's basically the engine from tesseract with a LuaJIT scripting engine, and a bunch of other stuff added too.
it's still in a really early WIP/not playable state atm though.

I've added some custom textures in a folder titled ss13, and added some .tex files for the program to see the .png files, but it's still not showing them in the texture browser ingame.
What am I doing wrong?
No.73
>>72you forget the (texture name).tex
if you texture is named like grass.png
then it would be grass.tex
and inside of it would be:
setshader "stdworld"
texture 0 "ss13/grass.png"

>>73Isn't that what I have done in the image?
No.75
>>74ah nvm sorry
Method 1)
/loadtex base\blah.png
Method 2)
edit the mapname.cfg file
so if you have lots of texture better make the map, save it and edit the cfg file from there

>>75One last thing, where do I find the .cfg file for my map?
I found that my map is saved as ss13.ogz in documents, but I cannot find any cfg file related to it.
No.78
>>77I guess you need to make your own .cfg file then

>>78I've actually figured it out.
in config there's a file called default_map_settings full of texload commands.

How do I take a screenshot of tesseract?
Or at least push it into windowed mode for a screenshot.
F12 doesn't seem to do much.
No.81
>>80Nevermind, The screenshot folder in the application is useless, it places screenshots in documents.

Welcome to Cube 2 engine.
Well actually, I don't think shit gameplay is necessarily engine's fault since it's not that bad in Red Eclipse but still I didn't see a Cube 2 engine game with particularly good gameplay.
