We already have two Power Armour suits in development: the TALOS, and the Raytheon suit.

Haha, that's my Ez8. It uses the 8th ms team 1/144 kit for most of it, the MG's shoulders and forearms covering the former's parts, and the SD's head. I can go into more detail on certain parts if you need help.

I'm planning a Gouf Custom in the future, using the same steps.

If you're gonna do zaku 1 best mobile suit, you might have to convert a zaku 2's head.

Awesome, I freakin' love your Ez8…and yeah I think you're right about the Zaku 1 although that wouldn't be the hardest thing to do. The older SD kits already have some big problems that would have to be addressed if I wanted to use one of their heads, so just remodeling it wouldn't be that much extra work.

The GM actually has a similar issue but it wouldn't mean as much if I just made MS Saga scale versions of the God Gundam and Master Gundam.

Nothing, really. I have an HGUC Jegan ECOAS Type and HGUC Ex-S collecting dust.

I built one shoulder of the Ex-S, but a previous non-Bandai model kit took a lot of work and kind of burned me out (July-December 2014). I know the Ex-S is an older HGUC so I want to paint it to make it not look like shit, but I don't really have time/patience for it.

If a Master Grade, RE100, or HGUC Revive kit that I really want comes out, I'll do another straight build like a filthy casual just to get me back into the swing of things.

I actually ended up feeling a bit bad for the badguys in Amazon. At no point did they ever stand a chance, from the beginning of every fight to the gory end, Amazon just wrecks the everloving shit out of all of them, without showing even the slightest hint of mercy.

Theoretical situation where we do build bipedal mechs in the near future, how would they fare againts current armored units?

Wouldn't a tank be able to incapacitate one pretty easily since mechs would have more moving joints. Compared to a tank who's enclosed in a shell of armor.

You can't take this article seriously after the author says that real warefare is no different than a fucking RTS video game.

This article written on a presumption that the parts and joints of mecha would be tough against attacks of RPGs and other attacks.

We should also consider the fact that we have drones flying now, and most likely drone technology will only advance further. We're having the early versions of Ghost X-9 in action already.

The most viable /m/ kind of thing would be a quadraped of sorts, where it's four treads (two traditional ones bisected) and the treads can move independently if the tank got stuck on weird terrain.

That or something like the Guntank is about as far as it would go.

Now if money and absurdity wasn't an issue? I can see some sort of Real Steel + G Gundam thing being viable. Something where wealthy investors with absurd amounts of cash fund mech to mech combat for sport, basically battle bots but on steroids. Televise that shit and whoever gets the rights to start a robo wrestlemania channel would be raking in the cash.
