>>4354It's pretty good. Mech designs are really ornate and detailed.
Too bad they're villain onlyEmulates fine on dolphin if you don't mind light audio crackling in intense battles

>>4355I have the game. I just haven't gotten around to playing it. I even tried to play it on my WiiU, but you can't use the WiiU controller for Wii games.
No.4357
>>4356Grody! Play it with a classic controller if you can, nunchuk has gimped camera controls
No.4360
>>4354Just be prepared for what your getting in for, its basically a single player MMO, it has some cool stuff but also a lot of dead time/grinding content as well. Coming off Gears and Saga i had a hard time getting into Blade.

>>4360Ugh, I couldn't get into White Knight Chronicles because of it.

>>4361Yeh i had the same problem there, really wanted to play them, but just couldn't handle how drawn out some parts of the game get.

>>4360>>4361>>4362Whaddya talking about, Xenoblade barely requires any grinding. They dish out xp just for walking around, you never have to grind for it
No.4364
>>4363Its more just the basic game play feels like grinding. The game-play combat etc is very boring and generic MMO like, WKC had the same problem.

>>4365Useful opinions in this case, if he didn't like WKC then he wont like Xenoblade as they are very similar in game-play, and i clearly managed to get my point across based on what was said.

Hi /m/
Need to know some good/must play /m/ or gundam games for ps2,psp and PC.

>>4369Let's see for PS2. Try Encounters in Space, if not at least get the sound track for it. I'll also mention Federation vs Zeon (could also do Gundam vs Zeta Gundam), my friends and I played it a lot. If you like strategy games then look into Gihren's Ambition: The Menace of Axis or any of the Ghiren's Greed games for PS2 and PSP. If you're a big Zeonfag then pick up Zeonic Front. May not be for you otherwise unless you could play the old Rainbow Six games.

>>4378For non-gundam games. If you haven't already, play the Armored Core games. I liked Last Raven and Silent Line but they're not really for beginners, try some of the earlier entries. If you like shumps try R-Type Delta but I'm not really into shumps so I'll leave it to others. Bumpy Trot(Steam Bot Chronicles) gets a mention
>>3325. For RPG's I'd like to mention the Ar Tonelico series. It's a good game but the music really sets it apart. I forgot to mention in my last post but MS Saga gets a mention. It's a pretty meh game, a budget title, but the unit customization is what people play it for. You should also pick up Valkryia Chronicles and The Legends of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. The first is a solid action strategy game set an alternate WWII and the latter is a fun game that 4chan /m/ keeps raving about. Should also mention to check out for PS2 Ring of Red. It has an interesting battle system and is set in an alternate cold war.

>>4379forgot to put the Valkyria Chronicles and Trails in the Sky can be found on Steam.

OP didn't specify what type of games, so I'll take this as not only /v/ but also /tg/ thread of /m/ stuff.
Can someone offer me up some good mecha tabletop games? I've been wanting to run a Zeon civil war setting.

>>4392Check out Mekton Zeta or Jovian Chronicles. However, I've never played a mecha tabletop other than the Mechwarrior clicks. So I have no idea how good of a system they are.

>>4392My friends and I have had success with a modified version of the heavy gear RPG rules. Works quite well given that it is a mech RPG to start with but you have to stat up your own mechs and gear which can be time consuming.

Finally started UC-81. Oof, dat language barrier. It's doable, I'm just not in the mood to pour through tutorials on youtube. I'll probably go back to GB, it can be grindy, but I can bluff my way through the menus well enough.

Hi, I've only recently started watching Gundam (I'm at episode 31), just wondering if Reborn is the best Dynasty Warriors gundam. I plan on going through the whole UC series in release order (and maybe watching spinoffs like G and Build Fighters on the side)
No.4524
>>4519Reborn is probably the best of the DWG games, tho DWG2 is is great as well. Avoid 1 and 3 tho.
No.4525
>>4401Mekton is a good anime simulator. It runs on the same rules system as Cyberpunk with a reasonably simple mek construction system that has extra rules for more complexity and realism. With Mekton Zeta Plus (or the older Mekton Technical Supplement) it becomes a build-a-universe kit with range second only to G.U.R.P.S (which I felt was a bit too vague). The scaling rules allow you to design/define anything from a sharp stick to the Death Star. Human-sized weapons (and droids, and cyber-options) are 1/10 scale, power-armors are 1/5 scale, mecha are 1/1, small ships are 10/1, etc…
Currently playing: Gundam Assault Survive (still)2,414 hours and I'm at 96% MS and 90% options parts. I'm never going to finish this fucking game.
Also Gundam SEED Battle Destiny, basically the same game but for Vita and SEED/Destiny only. Looks prettier but flight control is shit and no free button configuration.
No.4539
>>4524That's a great coincidence, the only DWG games I own are 2 and Reborn. The cell-shading in 3 looked neat though.

>>2771I have the US PSN release. All of the music is original, no recognizable tracks during gameplay.
Some of the sound ques and music is slightly/similar to the Japanese soundtrack.
Which of the DWG had English voice acting? I am disappointed that the orgrinal theme songs for each series wasn't in it. It blows my mind they couldn't get the combat instrumentals from each anime to be in this.
What's up with bandai and namco and music licensing. Why release it here if they don't think it will sell.

Does ships and subs count as /m/? If so, the only things I'm playing as of now are modded Silent Hunter 3 and Warship Gunner 1. But mostly SH3.
Realistic settings other than event camera, stabilized optics, manual targeting, map contact upgrades. Type II U-Boat, final destination.
No.5203
>>5161I was playing Silent hunter 4 not to long ago. Was trying to go full realistic except for the camera, but I was having a hard time getting convoy interception down and lost interest.

>>5203Modded? In any case you have to haul ass if you want to keep up with convoys. AFAIK they tend to change course more often in SH4.
No.5218
>>5209I was just playing vanilla, getting down the basics and such. It's not really my cup of tea; too much periscope depth, surface the boat, periscope depth, surface the boat, periscope depth, surface the boat, periscope depth, surface the boat. Not really the games fault, just the nature of a sub game. Probably didn't help I was using the S-class.
No.5233
>>5218>Probably didn't help I was using the S-class.Eugh. That's better than the Type II in SH3 but not much. Try the Gato, it should have a nice rather among other things such as actual speed.
No.5234
>>5233Yeah I was planning on using a faster sub, but then I'd have to deal with the Mk.14's. Did you try that new Silent Hunter yet?
No.5237
>>5234No, I know for certain it got casualized as fuck, there are mods that fix it, but you have to pay for accessing them IIRC. Mk14s aren't even that bad from a certain point onwards. Some mods change their behavior so that they aren't complete shit anyway.

After getting bored with Gundam Breaker within the first few hours, I realized the key was to push past the classic suits (that I'm kind of bored of) and get to the Zeta and ZZ shit. It's still monotonous as hell, but only slightly less so than DW.
