I've been mucking about with Kerbal Space Program lately. Messing about with some mods for it. Pic related, it's going to be part of my ComSat network around Kerbin thanks to the Remote Tech mod. Lets see if I don't get a huge picture this time.

It's pretty good. Better than 3 was.
No.2666
KSP
G-Gen Advance [Just started doing Turn A events, Sumo grunts annoy the shit out of me.]
Gihren's Greed
Also the mechanoids in Rimworld are huge assholes.
No.2672
>>2221I've been on a major Metal Gear binge recently. While the games are named for the mechs, they're not as big a focus as one would be lead to believe, but still, they're fantastic. ZoE for more by Konami and a more focused mech experience.
I also played Armored Core 4A not too long ago, it's great for the customization. EDF2017 is also something to look out for. Extremely silly, it's also extremely fun. If you like GvG, you might want to give GvZG a try.
For more tangentially /m/ things,
SoaSE and Homeworld is good for your space chip RTS. JSRF has too much style. The X series (avoid Rebirth like the plague)and Freelancer are both well developed series that were treated with a lot of love.
No.2683

So Sunrise is licensing most Gundam series to a single western company now. Hope this means NB's excuse of license issues disappears.
I know moon, but a lot of these games are multiplayer and most people I would play with don't.
No.2770
>>2735What license issues are there is it about all the old music from the series or do the TV stations own the series or something
No.2771
>>2770No idea. Music is one part of it but they can, and have, substituted instrumental tracks in Gundam Musou.
It doesn't excuse the lack of Gundam Breaker, which had no anime elements whatsoever.
No.2772
>>2771I would buy that right away even if we only got the first game for some reason it cant be too expensive to translate that game and whack it out on psn
No.2825

Am I the only one looking forward to Gundam Breaker 2? I feel like it kind of obliterated my desire to play the musou games, though.
But yeah, I'm pleased with the upgrades, and finally having all suits fully available is better, I hated only having a couple parts of some units.

No.2889
>>2878It's really not that bad. You'll have a disadvantage if you don't pay up until you reach the ranks where paying doesn't do shit. For instance, the GP02 doesn't have any parts slots or additional levels, so paying wouldn't make any difference.

Are there any guides or partial translations or anything online? Which game is the most accessible?
No.3321
>>3317They actually made it less pay-2-win than pre-steam, but it's mostly just mechanical changes that draw ire.

Solatorobo was kind of weak in the gameplay department not to mention all the characters were furries, but everything else had huge amounts of effort and detail put into it.
Pic related, this is an (incomplete) collection of the massive amount of supplementary material, artbooks, etc. that Cyberconnect2 put out for the game.
No.3591
Does Gundam Breaker and Extreme VS Full Boost have a lot of japanese text? I had a ROM of a game on the PSP called Gundam Battle Tactics that had a fair ammount of english and was easy to understand. I was just wondering if those two were similar.
Most importantly, can NA PS3s play imported games? Sorry I'm new to all of this. I'm just getting bored of the Dynasty Gundam games and Crossfire is laggy as shit. Also I'm horrible at it.
No.3593
>>3591Holy shit Extreme VS Full Boost looks awesome. It's like Budokai Tenkaichi only with Gundams. Of the two EvsFB and Breaker, which has the lowest language barrier?
No.3601
>>3593ExVs has the lower language barrier as you dont need to read jp at all to be able to play it no issue. Breaker you will need menu screen translations in front of you as you play as some of the customization/stat screens can be a little in depth, but even then its honestly not that bad.
No.3602
>>3593They're both easy as fuck to get into and understand. GB has a much lower skill ceiling. ExVs is a legitimately hard (but awesome) game. You can't go wrong with either.
No.3604
>>3601Yeah the gameplay trailer I watched for Breaker looked pretty complicated in the menu. But the idea of making a custom Gundam has me amped. Imports play just fine on a NA PS3 right? I don't need to mod anything?
No.3605
Does anyone know, are there any Gundam related games on the PSN? Besides the Dynasty ones, like maybe imports.
I know there's a Front Mission game.
>>3602>>3601Thanks guys!

On the subject of /m/ games, I'm assuming everyone here emulates right? Am I the only one who can't get the PCSX2 to run worth a crap? PSSPP, snes9x, EPSXE and GBA all work great. But I'm having a really hard time getting a stable FPS with PCSX2. It's either insanely slow with Assault 3 or hyper fast on others.
No.3693
>>3689Using the SVN or the ancient "stable" release?
Either way, PCSX2 is fairly poorly optimized, especially in comparison to Dolphin, which is incredibly well put together (grab it and give Custom Robo and Gotcha Force a try). Sure it has to run the wreck that is the emotion engine, but that doesn't explain why it only now is getting the GROUNDWORK for an 64 bit version.
No.3698
>>3693I can't get dolphin to run very well either. Same problem as some games on the PCSX2. Everything is in hyper speed. I should work on them both again and try to figure it out. I probably just need to tick a box in the settings.
No.3722
>>3688Thanks. They came naturally after hundreds of hours of play. I've thrown my life away.
No.3728
>>3698>Everything is hyper speedI have no idea how you undid the frame limiter for two entirely different emulators at the same time.

>>3728I was probably going through the options and like a faggot thought "hell yeah I want more fps *check*"

>>3730I set everything to default and was playing MS Saga for a bit. Fairly steady 60fps. Occasionally it poops down to 40 and I get this audio distortion.
No.3732
>>3731When does it do this?
I have a fairly beefy rig, but I unlocked the frame limiter and played MS saga at 90-120 FPS most of the (because the game is too slow for me otherwise. Even the music seems to work at 1.5/2x speed)
No.3777
>>3732I haven't played enough to really notice a specific time. I'm given up on PCSX2 and the Dolphin emus for now. I'm playing Gundam games on the PPSSPP because it works flawlessly (for me anyway).

Fuck it! I'm gonna start name-fagging since IDs are gone. My PSN name is the same name. I got Breaker and Report in the mail a week or two ago. Haven't tried Report, barely into Breaker. What's the difference between Extreme VS Full Boost, and G-sound edition?
everywhere i fucking go nobody gives a clear answer
is the only free dlc ==music==, and ==is it on disc==, or ==downloaded==?
putting emphasis on shit i wanna know cus I'm fucking tired of looking, sage for ranting
No.4277
>>4272Yes, the only free DLC is music and needs to be downloaded from the PS Store using a code insert that comes with the game. I don't see it as a worthwhile investment unless you're a big fan of the series.
>>4267Hey, it's Tyrannikos. I'm playing a lot of Kingdom Hearts 2.5, but send me a message if you ever want me to hop on GB or 0081. I suggest you beat both story modes on 0081 before doing online. That'll unlock the Mercenary faction for online, which will give you access to every MS instead of just Zeon or Federation.
No.4281
>>4272The music is a single big DLC pack, i got it my self as did my friend and i dont regret it, how ever as the game allows custom soundtracks you could buy just the base game and find the specific music in other places and just put them on your PS3 to use. I don't know if any one has specifically ripped the music used from the premium G edition.

>>4369Let's see for PS2. Try Encounters in Space, if not at least get the sound track for it. I'll also mention Federation vs Zeon (could also do Gundam vs Zeta Gundam), my friends and I played it a lot. If you like strategy games then look into Gihren's Ambition: The Menace of Axis or any of the Ghiren's Greed games for PS2 and PSP. If you're a big Zeonfag then pick up Zeonic Front. May not be for you otherwise unless you could play the old Rainbow Six games.

>>4378For non-gundam games. If you haven't already, play the Armored Core games. I liked Last Raven and Silent Line but they're not really for beginners, try some of the earlier entries. If you like shumps try R-Type Delta but I'm not really into shumps so I'll leave it to others. Bumpy Trot(Steam Bot Chronicles) gets a mention
>>3325. For RPG's I'd like to mention the Ar Tonelico series. It's a good game but the music really sets it apart. I forgot to mention in my last post but MS Saga gets a mention. It's a pretty meh game, a budget title, but the unit customization is what people play it for. You should also pick up Valkryia Chronicles and The Legends of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. The first is a solid action strategy game set an alternate WWII and the latter is a fun game that 4chan /m/ keeps raving about. Should also mention to check out for PS2 Ring of Red. It has an interesting battle system and is set in an alternate cold war.

>>4401Mekton is a good anime simulator. It runs on the same rules system as Cyberpunk with a reasonably simple mek construction system that has extra rules for more complexity and realism. With Mekton Zeta Plus (or the older Mekton Technical Supplement) it becomes a build-a-universe kit with range second only to G.U.R.P.S (which I felt was a bit too vague). The scaling rules allow you to design/define anything from a sharp stick to the Death Star. Human-sized weapons (and droids, and cyber-options) are 1/10 scale, power-armors are 1/5 scale, mecha are 1/1, small ships are 10/1, etc…
Currently playing: Gundam Assault Survive (still)2,414 hours and I'm at 96% MS and 90% options parts. I'm never going to finish this fucking game.
Also Gundam SEED Battle Destiny, basically the same game but for Vita and SEED/Destiny only. Looks prettier but flight control is shit and no free button configuration.
