After Garma's death, Kycilia has Char investigated and finds out he's really Casval Deikun (she explains this later) and sends her men to look for him. One also whipers to her during the funeral, presumably telling her they found Char.
Shortly after, Char reports to Kycilia and she calls him out on his plan to kill the Zabi family believing she can recruit him with her "a future for all newtypes" line now that he seems to have given up on revenge..

The salt mines of Odessa are irl a very old ruin which was used by resistance groups in several wars. It was a good place to hide stuff both before and during the Universal Century.
directly loyal to Kycilia and Ramba Ral wasn't. Kycilia had her ownplans for being SPESS QUEEN that probably didn't include Ghiren.

Maybe that's it. The Doms weren't ready in time. It was really close, the Doms and Battle of Odessa happens right after Ramba Ral attacks.
I haven't actually tried it, but I think in one of the Ghiren's Greed games if you give Ramba Ral the Doms he curbstomps White Base and Zeon wins the war.

Not exactly, it's still pretty evident that Kycilia shitcunt doesn't like Ramba, same for M'quve.

According to the wiki you just capture the WB and all the units contained in it. Also also don't lose aces, so Ramba survives, etc.

Ramba Ral was unde Dozle's command, M'quve was under Kycilia. M'quve states in the film version that he's under no obligation to support Ral but he doesn't mind using Ral to remove an obstacle (the Gundam/White Base).
Basically it's just about internal power struggles amongst Degwins kds.
