It's like I'm really a VOTOMS.

Votoms on the PS2 is good too

 No.4822

PSX Armored Core is best Armored Core.

Also Dorkly is right, Votoms on the PS2 is great.

I don't know, the control scheme was wack.

Especially the looking around part.

It sucks that it doesn't analog sticks for camera control but it's pretty good all around.
As for that VOTOMS game, Japan only, right?

way back on Project Phantasma I had an aftermarket controller whose right stick defaulted to the circle/cross/triangle/square buttons and laid it out to turn and look up/down with those buttons and move fwd/back/sidestep(strafe) with the left stick. Weapon switching and firing on the trigger buttons.
You can sort-of do it on Vita because it lets you set right stick to d-pad or buttons but ony two shoulder buttons means weapon switching has to be on d-pad.

yeah it's a Japanese game for the PS2
mostly action, you can muddle through the mission select screens and stuff without moonrune knowledge
well worth the effort
At first you sneak around as Chirico and then you jack an AT and you're like HOLY SHIT GTA then you drop the wheels and you're like HOLY SHIT JET GRIND RADIO IN A ROBOT RUNNING PEOPLE THE FUCK OVER

it's by the people who made Fire Pro Wrestling for the past thousand years

Since i already know the story i guess that moonrunes won't be a problem.
Will download it soon.

the main hassle is some menus for selecting the mission, your AT, tweaking it, stuff like that.

Please help me setting up the ps2 emulator to play this and other /m/ games I want to play.

For some reason I get error despite setting up the bios.

Sorry, I no habla PS2 emulation.

 No.4943

>>4935
The thing with ps2 emulation is that every single game has it's own settings to use, there isn't a default setup, at least for now, try to download bios from somewhere else or go to emulation thread on /v/ that is still alive.

Yeah, Yuke's. Good guys.

They also made Soukaigi which is all kinds of crazy fun.

Their VOTOMS PS2 game was good though. Wouldn't recommend emulating it though. Just play it properly.

This, the thing is you have to put up with the super shit control scheme for the first mission, which is kinda like the Driver tutorial, in the sense that is harder than the early regular missions. And the fact that PS1 emulators are so super shit they don't have keybinds settings for separate games, so theoretically you'd have to have an emulator for playing exclusively Armored Core.

Also having only a single AC is a massive pain in the ass, since you'll have to switch parts often before missions.

Why not? It's not 2008 or something anymore. It's not like PCSX2 is that hard to setup either.
