Honestly, pretty much this, I'd say. The chans have been pretty quiet as of late. Moot left 4chan and so far his replacements are keeping everything running pretty much unchanged. Meanwhile, things seem to have gotten more stable at this place. So nobody really has any problems at the moment, and for the foreseeable future too.

/m/ would be the last board they'd mess with because they don't care about us. If you aren't into mecha the board is entirely forgettable, as opposed to some which love being the center of attention.

The mods will likely try to keep shit quiet for a while. However, this is also the easiest time for some Redwood level shit to go down again. Expect at least one board to go all out war against their own mods.

Christ I love the mod transparency here. Mods aren't just amorphous beings we rightly guessed to hate the entirety of 4chan anyway. Seeing shit like the "Hallowmeme" pictures really woke me up to who was running the place.
