Star Ocean 5 Just got announced,

It's going to be on the Ps4 and Ps3.

The game is going to be set between Star Ocean 2 and Star Ocean 3 in the year 537.
It's said that they want to take cues from Star Ocean 3.

I can't wait till footage of the game comes out, because it looks really nice

Oh gods, i was quite excited when i first heard about this, now im rather concerned, SO3 is my least favourite of the SO games by a long margin.

Well there's not much to go on yet, till they release gameplay footage or more info about the game.

Any particular reasons Star Ocean 3 is your least favorite game?

For me, I couldn't really get into SO4

If I had to guess, it is because of the twist and how it invalidates everything else.

Not really /m/ related save for some of the common enemies, iirc.

I can understand hating the twist, but it doesn't really make sense to take the words "take cue from star ocean 3" to be necessarily bringing back a twist of that kind. Especially when it's set before SO3.

Star Ocean is /m/ (Setting,story,environments,spaceships, etc.)
