What's up noob ass mundanes, a behind the scenes /fringe/ adept here, I've been running a not so secret cult for some time now and have had many disciples in which I have shown the door and have had positive feedback on their personal growth, I've acquired artifacts, and I'm very well versed in arcanism andhermeticism. Ive isolated myself on the internet for sometime for reasons i wont explain but now ia my time to emerge as I see this is a magicians board so out of curiosity I want to see how adept you guys are. Ask anything and I shall vent knowledge. Let the fun begin.

 No.162

I always appreciate a magician willing to teach others.

Myself being well versed, I have no questions to ask.

Why not try teaching instead of letting mundanes ask questions, that way we can see how truly adept you are.

The mundanes ask stupid questions anyway, I would prefer if this place didn't turn into >>>/fringe/ 2.0

How old are you?

I'm 20 been practicing since 17 so about 2 and a half years.

Its how I extract knowledge since i f I was to spout it, it would be a regurgitation of my personal learning's, which is subjective and wouldn't register well in terms of others subjective mind in terms of personal happenings vs other personal happenings from two different realities.

to be so well versed at so young an age after such a short time practicing is an uncommon gift. So modest too

I am extremely adept but I don't post on shitty boards like this I only post on /fringe/

Does meme involve a cost system?

I don't want to cause positive change in my life in some ways only to realize I've hurt other areas of my life?

Have you used memek for things like muscle or intelligence building?

I'd assume a wizard would wish to be a powerful being.

I assume Earth has been claimed by a greater power than man, do you know who/what?

 No.217

>>216

Does it cost? Yes, its energy manipulation.

You can cause positive change to you, that inflicts negative change to others, this is not advised, use common sense.

I use memek for muscle and intelligence building. I also use it to fast and give myself energy without the need for food.

I think it has also, I'm not sure what it is yet.

 No.227

Here's a question.

Does the Kybalion contain all of the secrets or do i have to read shitloads of books?

Also, why are there so many little alchemists on /fringe/ and other boards likewise? Is Alchemy shit? I actually like it a lot.

 No.228

Have you read Liber Null, and do you think it's a good part of a magician's library?

>Its how I extract knowledge since i f I was to spout it, it would be a regurgitation of my personal learning's, which is subjective and wouldn't register well in terms of others subjective mind in terms of personal happenings vs other personal happenings from two different realities.

And yet still we teach.

>>216

>Does meme involve a cost system?

There is no cost but we do pay.

>I don't want to cause positive change in my life in some ways only to realize I've hurt other areas of my life?

Then I'd suggest you sit on your hands and try to move as little as possible.

It's a difficult art. You will make mistakes and they will cost you. How else do you hope to learn?

>I'd assume a wizard would wish to be a powerful being.

Magic changes people. Some come looking for power and find serene contentment. Some come looking for peace and find only conflict. Power is, however, a respectable path.

>I assume Earth has been claimed by a greater power than man, do you know who/what?

He's alright. A lot of people are less than happy with him and they're not entirely wrong to be. To say he's made mistakes is an understatement, however, he is, like all of us, learning. I wouldn't worry about him too much, he'll let you be.

>>227

>Does the Kybalion contain all of the secrets or do i have to read shitloads of books?

Every secret of the universe is written on the backs of cereal boxes. We simply don't have the eyes to read them. All the universe is one and everything is connected. If you find wisdom in this book good for you. If you find wisdom in "shitloads of books" that's great too. If you find it in debauched orgies, quiet prayer or fights to the death, who am I to tell you you're wrong?

>Also, why are there so many little alchemists on /fringe/ and other boards likewise? Is Alchemy shit? I actually like it a lot.

It is with heavy heart that I say alchemy is dying. The old must die to make way for the new, this I know but still… I like alchemy too.

There's a lot that could be said on the subject of why alchemy has gone from a respected art to the butt of jokes. It is the way of things. It will, however, be many lifetimes before the power of alchemy is truly forgotten in the minds of men. Until then, let's men like me and you make what use of it we can and keep it alive just a little longer.

 No.230

>>229

Thanks. Another question i may ask is, how does Alchemy affect the spirit? I picked up a practical book on herbal alchemy, so until i pick up something more philosophical i want to ask you this.

 No.231

>>230

How do the potters hands affect the clay?

Oh I realised there might be some slight confusion. I'm not OP (notice the name), just a wandering anon.

 No.232

>>231

im not talking about your effect on the potions, im asking about the work itself, and how it affects you spiritually

 No.239

>>232

So am I.

As I said before magic changes people. We are potter and clay both. After all who drinks the potions you make? At first most start with simple things. They shape themselves to be a little stronger, a little smarter and they do so with all the skill and finesse of children fumbling in the dark. Side effects are common and it's not rare to see a fall into madness in the first few years. If anyone told you this art was safe they were lying. Still, some recover and few continue and they learn from their mistakes. All the while becoming that little bit stronger or that little bit smarter or whatever else they should please and always, always just that little bit wiser. In time they start to wonder if there aren't better things to be than a little stronger or a little smarter and, soon, wonders unfold.

So to answer the question directly. It will effect you spiritually in every way that you can imagine and more beyond. Of course all of this applies to any art you could name.

>There is no cost but we do pay.

Elaborate.

 No.273

>>270

There is no cost is simple. There is no innate price for power. It's common for fiction to include some concept of equivalent exchange or the like but this simply is not true in reality per say.

"Per say" being the important part there. We do pay. We pay in the blood, sweat and tears it costs to master this art. We pay in the mistakes we make along the road and the scars they leave on our bodies and minds. As I said in my last post, it's not rare to see people fall into madness of one sort or another. In all my years I have not seen one soul who walked this path and came away unscathed.

so much emphasis on if there is a cost or if something is "used" loosh is infinite on command, so pay no attention to how much you are doing but if so you are doing.. theres days for negativity and positivity so dont mind the days you expend alot because there will be times for conserving which are all too often

 No.275

>>274

Power is infinite, but that's not what we were talking about.

To speak a little on power then. There is only one measure of power: an infinity. No matter how it is divided or reduced it remains infinite. Every expenditure is an infinite expenditure. Every scrap is beyond measure in its scope.

It is senseless to speak of power without speaking of its sister, will. Equal and opposite, power and will spiral in an eternal golden helix. As power is the light, so will is the darkness and yet the two are one.

Will is blind, It touches nothing, sees nothing, knows nothing and is nothing. Forever engulfed in an empty void. It is blind because it has no light by which to see.

Power, too, is blind. It touches everything, sees everything, knows everything and is everything. Omniscient yet with no way to distinguish anything from the whole. It's blind because it constantly has a spotlight in its eyes.

One without the other is folly. Will without power is impotent. Power without will is senseless. It is in their reunion, the bringing together of positive and negative charges, matter and anti-matter that magic is found.

There is a lot (a hell of a lot) more that could be said on the subject but it serves little to babble on it. These things defy words, they are above and beyond them. Infinity cannot be truly captured in such tiny squiggles and sounds. As such, take everything with a pinch of salt. Go see it for yourself. I guarantee you, the words you find to cage it and bring it into a form that you can hold a hope of understanding will be very different to the ones I found.
